thats a long way away. I don't think so. It has tested 1.0280 for 2-3 days and couldn't break it in clean sweep. only had to take a accelerated move to merely break it for 5 pips. another thing is this pair is closely attached to s&p. s&p more or less looks toppy here. if it rallies more from here i would be surprised. I am calling for usd/cad to retest 1.0450

exactly so u have it for yourself. when s&p goes up usd/cad almost follows on the downside. donno know whether you understand this correlation or not

should eurusd & gbpusd get "dumped" then their leading Crosses may be a better S/T play to get a better bang for the buck.. ie. if eurusd get dump & usdjpy play out as per your earlier scenario, or if eurusd stalls side to up or snooze from here while usdjpy gets dump then euro bears may be happier shorting eurjpy instead of praying for the euro boomerang to drop..
in either case, "okingofeuryeni" may be a more appropiate nic to go with your eurusd & usdjpy forecasts.. have a great week..

Isn't it better to wait for a confirmation of a top before selling ?

I've seen many people saying "buy low"...okay right. When price was at 1,2700 it was low, then 1,2500 lower...1,2300 ? down to 1,2000 (mid 2012)

You do get it.

on a large trend, you still buy the dips and sell the bounces.

buy high sell higher does not work on forex.

forex is essentially a ranging market. eu was trading @1.3 6 years ago, now still 1.3.

breakout suckers do not make much money imo. buy the hikers == getting stop loss more often than taking profit. All you see is price going up and you buy. However, the next day or two, the price fall back, you are stopped out.

On the grandest scale, and unless you sold absolute bottom and bought absolute top, effectively, your market strategy will pay.

Stand in the same position long enough and price will pass you by several times.

Money Management is still key and if you prefer to go against the trend, it is only your money that is in jeopardy, right?

I think where brother Kur is headed is that for hours and days and weeks on end, if you read through every new top or bottom created, you will find somebody in thread saying, this is absolute.

Safety dictates that you ride the tide.

Trend is your friend people last longer in the forums than do the Buy Low, Sell high members.
