EJ long entered... LO candle set the daily low. Two IBs formed inside the LO+1 candle, a break of the high of the two IBs backed up by TDI (green > red > MBL) and also a personal filter for IB breakout trades is that the daily open is below the setup... So a break to the upside is HPT imho. let's see how it plays out, I've set a small target (25 pips) because I like when my targets are hit spot on. Wish me luck, lol {image}

Haha Au contraire, none of that. The point I was trying to make was that bikes are dangerous enough as it is, add to that a slippery road, you don't want to be riding a bike. Unfortunately I have never been to England, but I've been to Paris several times and have lived in Belgium, so I know how the weather is... In Belgium I was told people suffered from two illnesses: depression and rheumatism, both weather-related haha

JPY under pressure at the minute. Just done a search for 'Price greater than bollinger band' on 15 min TF, returned 8 pairs all against the JPY

Took some trades today, do share with me your views. All trades are made on H1 analysis only. Do share with me some thoughts on how i can improve myself

EURUSD-H1-TP Trade
1. Took this trade cause the TDI was opening up nicely and above MBL
2. PA was forming HL and HH
3. Asian session seems to have formed a bottom

GBPUSD-H1-Manually Closed Trade
1. Took this trade cause the TDI was opening up nicely and above MBL
2. PA was forming HL and HH
3. Asian session seems to have formed a bottom

Manually closed this trade because it couldn't reach the previous high. I shifted my TP down.

USDJPY-H1-Manually Closed Trade
1. Took this trade as TDI was opening below and below the MBL
2. LH and LL seems to be forming
3. Asian sessions seems to have formed a resistance level
4. CLOSED on PA reversal was strong

GBPJPY-H1-Still Open
1. Took this trade on breakout of the asian session
2. TDI Cross and above MBL
3. HL and HH is forming
4. Trade is still open because there was a doji near the RN. Shows that maybe price can continue on. Next candle confirms it.
5. TDI looks like its bouncing off.. lets see how it goes
6. Guppy is opening

I recently got used to trading EJ and I am uneasy on EU's price movement... Not sure when it's a pullback and when it's a reversal, so I decided not to risk it. Exited at b/e and never entered back, even though I had a better entry shortly after I closed... Oh well, I'm still in the green and my small daily target is met.

I think the safe way would be to try to trade with the trend of the day that was set by london. If there is low volume we gotta consider whether we should trade or not ..

If you wanna take a quick scalp 10 pips would be safe?

What, you mean scalp now? I guess a short scalp trade could go for a few pips, but I'd rather not risk... The EU trade that you completed and I bailed out on was a classic "PHX" setup, to be perfectly honest. It was just me being late to the party (with a late entry) and doubtful...

Took this trade after GBP news, PA stalled for couple of hours before resuming the trend, had a drawdown of 17 pips, but there was this support zone below with lots of Fibonacci confluence , so waited and then PA started to move into the direction of the plan, TP reached at the completion of AB=CD move for + 30 pips

Snarlyjack I'm learning to trade structure based with TMS and I feel more confident in placing the trades since I learnt about that, am still learning thou, but this is what Akil and Jason of Trade Empowered use for trading by building a case of Fibo confluence and convergence with support or resistance zone and wait pa reaches these zone , then only its a matter of trading the plan

I meant a short scalp .. But better to be safe and trade with the trend, we get to relax more.

What is this DIBS rule you were talking about?

I agree with you on the classic phx62 setup. Today GU, EJ and GJ has it

The DIBS method can be found in forexfactory along with a detailed explanation of what exactly it is, how and when to use it. Basically, it's an inside bar breakout trading strategy, but you don't take just any IB breakout, you pay attention to where the daily open is - if the daily open is below the IB, you only go long.. if it is above you only short... Kind of...
