When the deal is announced expect some euphoric longs to follow. If it does not make at least a 100 pips up to test 99.6, then uj is in for a huge selldown.

Last week was very bullish for U/J...this action is just a continuation of last week. Put everything in Washington to the side and focus on price, it cannot lie.

I'm on the side line today and will wait for the movement either up or down depending of the timing of the decision....

whatever decision it is in fact a technical default so longs shoundnt be long-lived. Shorts sound like a safer option unless BOJ opts for intervention which could be the case. I am sure they are ready.

But isn't today the judgement day? I still can't see how US will go default. Well unless the bigger game plan is to kill usd to restart the game again. If usd worth nothing, then paying thould be a piece of cake. Isn't that that a one way street though?

I believe it's one side street in case of usdjpy in long run. But with other pairs anything can happen. As far as big game plan is considered I think they can not kill USD. America has faced 16 times shutdown before this.
