i do not use volume to do VSA. the effect of volume spike usually is very short, unless there are several high volume bars. today we had only one bar. my interpretation of this big volume bar is that some big guys smashed it down, and followed with more pushing down, taking profit at lower price, and run for weekend.

or did London day traders just square up for the weekend, and close their Longs? are they anticipating this and ready to pick up the drop?

squaring up should be gradual and sneaky not sudden smashing.
