Yeah, for me, it was always too late, when I tried to follow the rules. My database still makes 'pling pling' when volume rises significantly, esp. when we are near support/resistance.

I have not day traded for ages . Work and my new wife have been keeping me busy . I moved to Dubai so i could trade more and instead find myself trading very little . However have been working the daily on usdcad and gu as they have been not bad , missed usdjpy and completely missed ES move but what to do

FX futures will never grow to the point where its significant.

fruitful thoughts!

alright so i rarely check the monthly/weekly charts of a pair, the maximum time fram i look at is daily, so today as the market hasnt been convincing to me (and i again say to me only) i decided to check the monthly and weekly chart of EUR/USD, i found out a very interesting trend and thought to share it with everyone over here in the thread to maybe discuss it further!

so have a look at the weekly chart 1 where it shows the pair price range from Jan 2006 till date, notice the red arrows that i have inserted at the top of patterns (circled in blue) preceeding the "top" of each time period (circled in green), now notice that in 2 out of the 3 tops, the preceeding patterns top RSI (blue) is as high as the actual pattern top RSI (green)! I hope i'm able to make sense here LOL

anyway, however, for our current cycle, the latest top RSI (blue) is already less than the current high RSI (green)! i would understand this as there's still room for the PA to continue further! i marked up two areas where i think PA could reach with the current cycle (circlred in red).

please let me know your thoughts

by the way, the RSI im using is "7"
