imho, this whole shutdown is nothing to get particularly excited about, US will print its way out of it... It does however show that financing the massive amounts of debt is becoming increasingly harder for the big brother. This is what's keeping the euro up, logically making it into a safe haven, after yen's become a joke due to the japanese QE outburst. Putting this together, it wouldnt be surprinsing to see euro around 1.42-ish by the year's end. Of course, we'll see all the possible FX tantrums on the way, but technically, its hardly unlikely.

Good set up for me, EURUSD 4h chart. German data is confirmation, if its good, up we go. Then breaking news of US stalemate. Let see if its unveiled as nature design.

bias changed a bit (st downside looked less certain) - but a 12pip 1 hour pin - not enough for me to close it - trade management unchanged - stuck to the plan, unclosed engulfed candle shown - highlighting downside break of inside bar, rather than for "static" analysis of PA

Not a trending market ... and it might be a good idea to reduce risk by some unwind activities at various stages ...

Although there is a "theoretical" projection for a bounce higher again ...
