Sorry guys, Noob question:

If a weekend gap passes through a sl/tp, will your order get stopped out at the level you have set it at, or the first available price charted at the open?

Am I missing something here or what? The US Government shutdown seems to be causing the USD to strengthen - i.e. the opposite to what the pundits seem to be saying. People have been saying that the EUR-USD price will shoot up to 1.40xx next week. Others are saying that cable will rise to 1.67xx. Yet, for some reason they just keep on falling. WTF is going on? Someone please explain because to me this simply doesn't make any sense.

Basic P&L principle - Cut cost to increase profit. Works well in short term.

wow after calling for shorts for a month, who pops and he crawls from the under rock. just as we have a low at his called top ..blah blah, after saying he gave up with the shorts he had at 3487...(time line it) calling the longer's muffets who took this 150 pips. good one Burt and Ernie. who gives up then re-enters in couple of hours later. at a = level.. after losing 150 pips..

taking profits into weekend for one...funding of US Gvmt. it looks like Congress is Raising Debt Ceiling which both parties can agree too...for seconds...and third and last Mkt was O/B (Overbought concerning the Euro) do not follow cable but was likely O/S (Oversold) ..hope this helps..

Your orders will be always executed at first available rate after your service provider plugged in then in such cases ...

Hi mate...! I trust you are well...
I understand where you are coming from but I believe market at the moment fears more about the debt ceiling issue we will be focusing on shortly. I mean if they can't even come to a conclusion with the goverment shut down, what do you think will happen till Oct 17th...?

Some issues take priority here and debt ceiling(!), yes that is quite big not only here but as well as equities, fixed income, commodities... You name it...
