Am I missing something. Why is the market so dead today. Maybe because of the US government shutdown? The EURUSD is barely moving.

cable going the right way atm, 1.623x/5x is a pretty strong area, as always it's hard to say something about targets, IF the weekly turns south (a close under 1.613x) I would look for 1.600x as the 1. target, the next targets are to uncertain if PA turns etc etc.. but next levels would be 1.593x/1.587x zone, 1.580x and final target at 1.563x... the scenario is valid as long as tuesday hi doesn't get broken.. lets see what happens..

IMO 79 on the dollar shouldn't be an issue. Likely to see continued weakness throughout the shutdown. There is an expected weak earnings season coming up which should continue to wade risk appetite. The debt ceiling is likely to prolong this. It seems like the GOP aren't playing this time as Obama, again, failed to keep his word as the only spending cuts come from a sequester and government shutdown.

Improving print data out of the UK and EZ should aid in dollar pair movement. And then the market will look for a taper in Oct, Nov and Dec. I have an overall dollar target of just above 78...

For a pessimist, I'm pretty optimistic

atm what i am expecting for this pair to hold any penetration of 1.3568 price level, for further gains like 1.3890/1.3910

in the mean time a res line comes around 1.3662ish
