FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO GO LONG THE EURO:

Guys, I have thought for over 6 months already that the Euro has been artificially propped up against many other currencies. And in fact, correct me if I am wrong, the EUR/USD has hurt more day traders and even swing traders like myself who prefer daily charts as the chop as well as the lack of follow thru in either direction for months and months now tells us that support is coming in from somewhere....but which side???? I havent seen one guy on any forum who says they are "doing well" on this pair for more than 2 or 3 days in a row. Sickening. I myself have been looking to short this thing into hell where it belongs with all the looming bankruptcies and the rioting in Greece,etc but I now learned after 15 yrs trading what they mean by the old saw : The markets can remain irrational a lot longer than you can stay solvent." So we who love to play the euro be it long or short what do we do? How about back to basics...looking for one euro pair that keeps on trending regardless of news, manipulation or any reality of any kind. Now....take a look at the EUR/CAD on the daily. Looks pretty good? Now scroll back more...now more, now more.....and we see THIS THING HAS BEEN GOING UP FOR YEARS!!!! Why would we want to mess around with Eur/usd???????????

And for you day traders, look at the hrly charts, this thing is a gift now as its in the red from tiny asian money and we all know at 3am when the London boys finish their tea and scones, whats going to happen. Set wide,wide stops on this one guys. We dont want one bad day or one bad hour where a big wick or tail knocks up out. I just put on the biggest position of the week right now long on this EUR/CAD. Can someone give me any reason whether its fibs, S/R/ moving averages, anything you want, why you would bet against this pair. And so what if there is a resistance in 200 pips. Look at the weekly on this sucker and youll see it means nothing. Somebody is getting awfully rich keeping the CAD very weak, why not get in NOW on what might be the last few months of the run????

Wishing you luck too, magix!!! So no one here has answered my question. Why is the EUR/USD basically at a stand still for months, when the EUR/CAD has been roaring like a freight train on steroids. And we both know the CAD is a lot "safer' play than the USD is right now. So why is the Euro decimating the CAD for 2-3 yrs!!!!!!...............but not the USD?

Remember boys, 11 banks control 85% of the volume in Forex. I guess if they want the Eur/ usd to keep knocking out the short term scalpers and 30 min chart traders for another 2 yrs, they certainly can do it. But why do they want the CAD so low. Who benefits? Unless China is behind this so they can do some musical chairs and trade their currency for loonies and buy the hell out of the whole countries resources! Hmmmm.... China might be our new next door neighbor in 2-3 more years and it was all done so quietly we never knew a thing. Imagine if China threatened not to sell us oil. We DO get 20% of your oil from Canada? Just playing with different situations as to why the banks are loading up month after month on this EUR/CAD. DONT FIGHT THE TREND! LOL aND IMAGINE IF THE eur/usd was the only pair you could trade? Ha! 60% of traders would definitely close their accounts. Me for sure.

i don't think they control volume ,but they do control pa (& feed) , Most of our order placed with market making brokers or on their network, not on actual market

The market consumes 90% of new accounts that get opened. At a rate of 2000 new per day, I don't think you and the other 60% would make the stats.

Really dude, I am just a technical trader, could really give a shit less about the fundies behind who is driving the bus.
