yeah...it's possible...but i'm not sure what will be the catalyst for such a big move.

maybe a huge pullback on the stock market...but then again...we havent seen a huge pullback in stocks for the past 5 years

been waiting for a huge risk-off move...waiting a long time

Just look at your charts. Id focus in on July 16th to August 8th. Last time we hit the 100 level and reversed it ended up going all the way back down to 96ish.

Crappy economic data and a dovish fed could easily push this back down to that level.

Hi there, I would like to share my view on this pair based on my interpretation of the current wave count. The setback from 99.66 has retraced just about 61.8% of the prior impulsive rally to 98.49 and has done it in three waves. The structure and depth are consistent with a correction. Now, starting from nearby levels USD/JPY should start higher in wave 3; a breach of 99.18 would support this view and provide more confidence that this pair would be heading higher.

you still think this will go up over 99 in the next few days like it did last week during the end of the week? The 4 hour chart shows some bearish movement. This down play could also be the fall out of last weeks FOMC no QE Tapering result. The UJ recovered lost ground almost immediately instead of falling further. So this is the fall out from last week happening today in my opinion.

But this is just my analysis.
