DislikedApologies that its a cable chart, but I thought you might like to see how I'm using your MAPriceAlert - here the grey line - that triggered in the 07:57 candle. A quick look at the chart and I sold as it fitted all of my criteria - a great trade for ~50 pips with highish gearing..... {image}Ignored
DislikedHere is an MA price cross alert indicator by special request from a thread follower. I figured it may come in handy for anyone who has been looking for such an alerter. Here's what it does... Upon open of current candle, or loading of the indie/change of TF, if previous candle has crossed the Ma line on a close basis , it pops up and sounds an alert with full details about pair, TF and cross direction. Settings are: MaPeriod: This is the number of periods the moving average is based on. UseEma: If set to "true", uses EMA. If not, uses SMA. The...Ignored

Dislikedi just had the worst and best luck all-in-one today: As per my posts yesterday Gold was in a triangle with a projected breakout worth 2000pips to the downside. I woke up to the Asian session this morning just in time to hit the yellow metal short with everything i had. PA overshot the triangle LTL and turned at 1322.20. I took profit and watched PA return inside the triangle again. I figured there was enough RSI headroom for it to retrace to 62% of the thrust so I casually went long (with everything I got) and left my station to get a towel and...Ignored

Disliked{quote} hi PipTrapper, These are the off-hand trades I enter that cost me time and money every time. "Oh, I'll just grab some of wave 2 before re-entering for wave 3" becomes: "I'll get fooled by an irregularity in the structure of wave 2 and eventually at the extention of wave 3 of 3 take a massive loss so I can trade a truncated wave 5 for peanuts". If it wasn't for my casual misconceived entry into some trades - i'd reduce my losses by 80% and spend less time agonizing over losers. This is my self-improvement project. Thanks PT!Ignored

Disliked{quote} hi Pablo, Glad to know i'm not alone in this. It always seems to me like everyone is so cautious in their method and manages their risk well. I try, but sometimes - at least once a week - I do something really stupid that just makes me question my suitability for the job! It comes mainly from my tendency to spot price patterns and then to give PA more and more leeway to make variation on the pattern I think is unfolding. Eventually, when it's clear something else (other than what I expected to see) is happening, the position is so far in...Ignored
