Not enough information given.

You only tell us the risk on 30% of the total trades. Total number of losing trades are 56. We can't calculate the losses on all losing trades without knowing what was risked on all losing trades.

No, this is not a trick question. Just a reminder to those who make this kind of calculation that it is vitally important to follow the risk/reward, lot size, etc. percentages and trade set-ups no matter what. How it is related to my above post? ....... You cannot calculate or earn return, not even close, if you do not consistently follow the figures. Consider the missing/duplicate figures in my above question as the data relating to trades where one deviates from pre-set figures. In other words, calculation is one thing, consistent practical application is another.

One thing that may help is remembering market can do any thing at any time. If it could go against you in a split of a second, it can also turn to favor you in the same span to time. Never deviate from your plan and you will get at least something.

Only 30% of the total trades had a risk of 2.3%. Nothing to do with the amount of losses.

No he does not.

Total number of trades = 72
Total number of losses = 56
Total number of wins = 16

The problem is we only know the risk on 30% of the trades (2.3%). We need to know the risk for the remaining 70% in order to calculate a best case scenario of money won.

About 4 or 5 year ago, one of my friend and I cobtributed $200 each to open a $400 account. The objective was to make 1% a day for the next 6 years. I think the calculation said it would be around $50 million by that time. We made about 90% in 80 days. Later I bought his share and still manage this account.

You could not maintain the 1% per day through the first 80 days then. 1% every day for 80 straight days is 121.7% return.

EDIT: Unless you are including weekend days in your 80 day count, but not as days where 1% is gained/compounded. Even still you fall a little short I believe.
