Yes, good idea to use max loss per trade. You can still use the same size of SL to suit your trading style, just need to reduce the size of the trade if you want to use a larger SL. It's less stressful also to use a larger SL & a smaller position size.

I am guessing 8-10% profit a day is not enough for you?
It's better to earn 1% than lose 10% but up to you

Its not that, I also lose some of the days, so I can't really put a fixed figure , e.g. , if I say 1% per day , what if I lose !% everyday for 4 days in a row what happens when I get 1% on the fifth day? Do you say v1% is of if you do the math’s , it wont add up .I am making sure EVERY trade of mine stays within a FIXED amount of risk per trade .That will be for the week , e.g. if my spreadsheet says this week is £100 risk per trade , then I will stick with that no matter what .My MAXIMUM stop is 60 pips per trade , the average will remain at 30.If stop is higher then the lot will be lower and vise versa. I am very very determined to stick to this now after losing almost £2000 in one day of madness when I had won that money over a period of 2 months .Its NEVER going to happen again, not with me, NEVER .My rules will change slightly on the number of trades I can have in a day , it will now depend on the number of signals I get on that day . If it’s a good day like today and I get 6 signals, I will trade 4, If its like Monday where I only got 2, I will trade all, so I will not fix the number of trades in a day , everything will depend on the market but there is a caveat , If I lose 3 trades in a row on one single day , that will be it for the day .That’s the only slight change , everything else stays the same.

WELL, GOOD LUCK
sometimes you need really traumatic experience to understand how to trade - I think I have my trauma behind me, I just hope I won't be tempted again and will stick to rules. So far I do stick, hopefully it will last.

What I noticed with you is that you have problems around round numbers, you were struggling around 4k, then around 5k, and relently around 3k - stop thinking about round numbers, think about the final goal ;-)

Today , Alpari let me down on EURAUD it kept re-quoting until I got pissed off , when I tried for the last time , price shot up too fast and it hasn't retraced for me to buy it .

The rather obvious pains that you suffer (and force us to endue) are a result of the psychological impact that trading is placing on you.

If WE don't know why you are placing the trades you make, then I don't see the point of you continuing this thread, to tell you the truth.

I have said this on here before a few times, but I guess I would have to repeat.
The thing is I have 23 signals and I trade 8 pairs, so basically, I have got a potential of 184 signals in a week if all of them come in (this is obviously impossible).It will be very difficult for me to explain each and every one of them. I will TRY to explain each of my entries however for your benefit.
Today AUD-USD

I have bought it based on the bounce off Daily 20 Moving Average. It has broken the daily median point so it is a confirmed buy signal .My 30 Pip stop is based on my personal analysis that “if you enter a trade and it moves 30 pips against you, then you are most likely to be wrong”. I have attached the spread sheet for my calculation of risk .e.g., if the risk is =/-£85 like this week, then if my stop is 30 pips, then my ££ per pip = £2.78, if my stop = 15 pips, then my ££ per pip will be £5.56

NO , they have to be confirmed first .The confirmation is usually the breakout of a fractal OR if the price has already gone , then a retest of the high of that fractal on 15 Min time frame OR the touch/closure of the candlestick on/below the redline of the alligator .
I must say , you must be familiar with the Bill Wiliams Chaos theory to undertsnd some of this stuff

I will TRY to give a reason on every trade I make , maybe after some time you will start to get the picture
