I don't think we're facing any full blown bull either, but until the retail crowd gets wiped out of their shorts, there is some upside to each dip. Once we start forming a lower high, then I will restart my shorting campaign. Till then the risk is clearly to the upside.

That being said, due to the loss of credibility of "forward guidance... my left nut", all trades I take till we get a taper will be with tight stops... even the sells.

wow, that's a bit "cold" of them! Maybe a swift blow from a laptop to the CEO's head would remedy that, eh?

Right you are about blowing a chance to not only win the future support of the bond market, but also lost his chances of meeting his own staff projections for 2014 and beyond.
Unfortunately I have to now put some very deep thought into whether or not I will keep my USD holdings or dump them.
See, for me also it is a lot more than just the trading aspect. I have 60% of my cash holdings denominated in USD and I am living in Europe. So for me, I am in the process of a declining net worth which more and more will hold me back from spending and contributing to the economy. Obviously my piddly holdings don't make any difference, but multiply mine by the millions of others in my position and you get the picture. For us it is like massive inflation.

I've had similar and even worse problems with Toshiba.
Here he is. Do us all a favour and take your best shot. Make sure you use a titanium cased Toshiba to do the job

Like you say, why sacrifice their credibility? I smell a rat, because what they've done now leaves them with less options and less control (which those power-types surely crave above all else). I think there's a twist in this tale and it will be jumped on us in due course.

yep - but at that time my No 1 daughter was managing one of their publicity accounts, so I soon warmed up the personal email and fax of their UK CEO and they replaced it.......but I've never bought another from them.....

That being said, multi-week break-out in the works with another classic M/T lead/lag race between Euro, Cable & EURGBP.. looks like both short & mid term money are eager to scale up on shallow dips for 1.37 near term prior to any major retrace with EURGBP & Gold pushing in tandem while Cable settles comfortably above 1.59 targeting the 1.63~1.65 M/T zone..
