Masterfully taken. I cocked up today. With a range of 33 pips today on UJ why was I trying to chase more than 10 pips - in fact why did I enter trades at all unless there were three clear dragons and evidence of a support being held? Isn't it funny how you repeat the same mistakes time and again. Oh I also increased my lot size to recover ground. Duh. Just doing my post match analysis which I will not post as it is too embarassing.

Edit: You make an excellent point about the 30 min pull back. Obvious really. Duh. Sitting in the dunces corner.

Great! I took the trade by EU the same time but closed it before. Good lesson!

You should show the trade, so people can figure out what not to do!

and there was - sold UJ in the 15:20 GMT bar as it broke the 5m dragon, got 10 pips at the European close - the 16:00 bar - as it hit the 15m 89ema (1335 ema on the 1m chart)

Just look - UJ's range since the US close yesterday is only 34 pips.....that tells me to bank what's on offer - even 10 pips....

No way are you a dunce.....this is NOT easy - and you are learning from every post......but DO NOT increase your lot size after a loss or two - DECREASE it - there will be more opportunities tomorrow and soon we will be back to 150 pip ADRs....and 40 to 60 pip ID swings instead of 30 or less

Hi Islander,

I tried out first attempt using together in conjunction PVSRA and 3 dragons, seems to work ok. not sure am i entered correctly on 3 dragons method... here's my result, banked 13 pips.

I don't know what Islander thinks, but if I would take this trade, I would wait after price was rejected from ema.

Hi - firstly, you've added a tick volume indicator which we do not use in Sonic's thread and OK, I know where it came from too, but in the future please do not show it as I will not answer as I respect this thread's founder's request that we do not use indicators..

That said, for your first attempt, well done. You actually entered - as I have been posting - off the price break of the 5 min Dragon, after it turned down

You could have banked, as I did, after the increase volumes just after the European close - or as you did, after the next wider ranged red matubozo that failed to go lower...

@ loeil I've already posted where I entered, but I agree that having more confirmation as you showed is the safer trade...

So as long as the MT4 feeds can mimic MM transactions volume, PVSRA ought to be a
great tool.

A Classic short setup, albeit before LO. Note the three PA hills and the corresponding three Volume hills. Bearish. There is always the chance that later in the day session the MMs will push price back up from wherever it might have gone down to, if it does go down between now and then. But such a push up would likely be nothing more than price manipulation to suck in longs so the MMs have liquidity to add more shorts at higher prices again.

So, this is an early setup, which might or might not run at this time. I'd say the odds are against it running due to the USD releases not coming until much, much later in the day, especially the FOMC releases. But, you never can know for sure about such things. Pre-release "surprise" moves have happened before, and frankly, the MMs surely already know the essence of what is to be, and have been preparing for their planned move well in advance already. We can only wait and see, and be prepared for whatever the MMs do.

EU short... we should be able to someday predict pvsra on the 1H timeframe with even better precision than the 1M for longer term trades...again a work in progress ... I made some note on the chart below...

PVSRA, EU: Bulls or Bears?

Yes, I think that PVSRA comes as close to "predictive" as we can reliably get. However, while the intent of the MMs can be discerned, the timing cannot. That we just have to live with.

Note on the H1 chart for EU the price action "hills" and the corresponding volume "hills". This is a very clear sign the MMs are bears. You will also note the bulk of the price action and volume for these hills is above the half number SR! PVSRA indicates the MMs are bears adding shorts.

What is the name of indicator at below window? it's a little different from "Sonic-R VSA" indicator. Where can I get it ?

edit: ou ... it's Sonic-R PVA indicator. It's not on the zip packed on post #1. Any body know where can i get it ?
