Easy money has a strong effect on currencies, after all, currencies are money...

The primary reason the aussie went from about 85 cents to $1.10 and stayed over $1 since the GFC was "easy money" sloshing around from the USA, Europe and china printing presses going into overdrive.

A massive amount of that easy money (especially in China) went into construction projects. In China this was primarily in the building of over 1,000 new cities and thousands of miles of new roads, railways and bridges, most of which are still unused or in the case of the cities totally empty.

All this construction provided Australia with a massive export market for natural resources that were needed to fuel the expansion, which is why Australia cruised through the GFC unscathed.

Now that America and Europe slow down the printing presses China is embarking on a new round of spendingd, which should bode well for the Australian economy... hence we are likely to see the Aussie $ rebound over the next 6 months or so, indeed it has jumped from 89 cents to over 93 cents in the last week.

I can't believed that Master Yoda almost wipe out 50% of his equity in a matter of hours. To new traders who is monitoring this thread, this is what it looks like when you cannot control your emotions, in which you will risk big and revenge trade.

This trading stuff is easier said than done.I have had my ups and downs and today has been one hell of an experience .I will keep trading and I just hope one day , only one day I will be able to look at all this experience and say "I have come from far". At the moment , I am well far from being a top trader , I am still a novice.
The thing that pains me most is my discipline especially after an unnecessary trade that loses , a trade that I should not have traded after all and it loses and I try to recover , that's when all hell breaks loose.Only last week I was in cloud 7 , now I have blown 40% of my equity in less than 12 hours .This is what happens if you underestimate the power of the market to wipe your account .
Every experience is a lesson learnt , I HOPE I have learnt from this

I feel sorry for you mate.
I understood that trading is not so much important and I just treat it as fun that will lead me to my goal in many years. I trade only when I feel like I want to, I don't rush, I have a job, look to push my career higher, I have family and look to buy a house. I will treat forex like something I do from time to time and after years I will have some cash from it in get rich slowly style.
wish you good luck, don't panic, take a rest, you can get it back but don't rush. take 1-2 weeks of break.
like my wife said me when I lost some money (30% of account) last time - it's only money, no reason to worry.

.I will take a rest for the whole week , after all I am not feeling well anyway.I will spend the next few days reflecting and hopefully will come back stronger next week

I had some string of losses then a good recovery last week and yesterday then string of losses today, but the TRICK is two reasons why my emotions is controlled.

1. My position size is very small relative to my account except for the super aggressive explorer, in which I unleash my boredom and anger (Risk management).
2. My winners are way bigger than my losers (Let the winners run)

So, when I lose or win, I could care less because the amount is small.

And of course, I never doubt my system, I trade all signals that comes along.
