U.S. President Obama earlier called for a peaceful solution to the Syrian conflict. He went on to say that he saw "encouraging signs" of diplomacy which could end the confrontation over the Syrian regime's alleged use of chemical weapons. He has requested that Congress postpone a vote on a military strike.
Talks of conciliation have been positive for risk. and the Yen could weaken further as a result.

Bank of Japan (BOJ) board member Koji Ishida, has also mentioned that the BOJ will make adjustments to policy as needed. He went on to say that it's vital for the Japanese government to maintain fiscal trust. The BOJ has estimated that its current-account balance, which is a measure of financial firms' deposits at the central bank, had risen to a record 91.4 trillion Yen today.

With the BOJ still leaving all options for a more aggressive monetary policy stance open, this gives further scope for the Yen to drop as against the Euro and the Dollar.

I agree, though I do not have the guys to long it right now due to fear for it going down to 99.5/.6

I am going to wait this one thru, unless you can convince my mind?

Yea I know its not an easy entry, but what can I do its in my entry books.Its in my plan and I have to do as my system says .I have bought it anyway, but with with a strict position size that will get me a Risk reward of 1 : 4.5.If it goes bad then that is my cup of tea.I think in rewards.Cheers

Well let me ask a question.....Does your system say its ok for you to do so then I think you should but if other wise then don't.If the fear as a result of a losing streak the I think you should pump the brakes and back out for a while.As for me I planned to enter this since yesterday.I think you should just wait for market close and get a daily confirmation.Like the the wall street adage says,The Pros make trading decisions from the Open and hence the other way for amateurs.#Pardon my big mouth bro...lol.Enjoy

$usdjpy pre foreign investment data, divergence trade at extended targets

Daily open was 100.360 and I could have shorted below it but 100.210 was the level to clear. I´m hoping for at least 100 pips into the gap close, momentum looks good and previous high has been taken out.

100 level must sustain first...see nikkei jpy correlation today wether 100 yen can sustain or nt

As I had said before, Nikkei and YEN had many Green days so a correction was due. I was expecting it to come in on Thursday or Friday but it came in a bit early. Nikkei was pushed to over 14,620 and YEN to 100.60 before the drop.

We hit 99.19 just now. With US market due for a pullback after these recent gains the USD may weaken with it as well.
I also trade this pair. This is a nice thread with wonderful contributors. Thanks to all
Still short $usdjpy; we are minutes away from The Initial Jobless Claims numbers which are expected to be worse (330K) than last readings (323K); this could make this pair push lower to the 98.24 area

there is option expiry at 10am EST so some volatility, some good support at 99.20 if this holds then we have upside but if this breaks then we are heading lower
