in my opinion, news and data regardless of whether interpreted rightly or wrongly...will all translate into technical movments and they do have an effect on market direction espec for intraday trading. A big swing in technical movment the opposite direction has the effect of spooking the mkt and causing a ripple effect and if the direction is entrenched it becomes a trend which even fundamentalists have to accept even though deep down they feel the movement is irrational unless they have financial power to turn the movement around or some other news that can swing it back to its original direction.
Hindsight is useless if you never learn anything out from it

technicals will not over power fundamentals. fundamentals determine a market large trend, technicals create ripples in the trend.

I post this Monday aussie 1hr with it updated, also chucked in kiwi to show how twins they are,

The aussie drop has been building for 2 weeks, the data was just catalyst to drop though tl, but kiwi is still above, my plan is to see if the aussie data will be faded up, or kiwi will join her twin sister

aussie on hrly I don't see a topping pattern as yet, but I was expecting one, if look daily she was at previous resistance 26th 27th june
and accordingly kiwi is almost the exact same

ps I am "bear" but as posted been buying these two middle last week and beginning this weeks but was waiting for reverse today,
aussie has plopped and I missed it
