I missed the start of the news spike too - my volume was turned off ......good UK employement data. I've banked a few pips since via non Sonic type trades....

News releases they are just making up data points to move the market. The releases are not based in reality. This is clearly a stop hunt. I am sure they booked many pips as stops were hit. If this was such good news and it was real the GBP would rally and keep going. Time will tell. GJ just prior to release had broken keys support.

GJ had just broke support prior to the news release. It seems to be reversing hard as I post this.

Totally agree with you, content of releases are fake anyway and meant for nerds. MMs just using the releases for their moves.

If you look at the daily chart, it's an interesting place.
I do not think it's late to plant short seeds.
Mayebe it's much better to entre short here.
I will wait the daily candle to be formed, maybe a false breakout, hope so.

A couple of years ago a group of us specialised in trading the News Releases - before the brokers wised up and started widening their spreads, making re-quotes etc etc - the UK was always thought of as having the least leaked and most accurate data.

The UK economy has been improving and only yesterday Jaguar Landrover announced a futher 1,500 new jobs at their Solihull factory.

The key now is the old resistance now turned into green support area.......has it been a "buy the rumour, sell the announcement" move - OR will this be another similar ~600 pip leg up?.....TWT

Hi, Islander:

Have been working on learning to apply your estimable Three Dragons which is of particular interest in current market conditions.

Progress--today I took the same 2 UJ entries although still out and exiting early.

Please let me know which DP indicator you use and any particular settings because as you can see from attached chart your DP is different from mine and more in tune with PA:
