I think that if you have brains and if not already in a position with enough buffer, you will sit on your hands and wait till 12:30 GMT without moving your finger.

so far price was just shy of 31033 which is the 50%fib as per chart.
edit nfp next

I don't have a solid read on the NFP, but I have open positions. I have no intention of being greedy, so I'm wondering what's the best way to deal with the upcoming volatility.

  1. Should I just close out my positions (winning)?
  2. Should I set Stops (in profit) and let the market take it's course?
  3. Should I use trailing stops to try and capture some spikes?
  4. Are there aother alternatives?

It depends mostly on what timeframes have you got your trades on.
For example: I am short on GBP NZD on Daily chart, I am not moving a thing because I still think that despite the volatility the price will eventually resume its course if not today maybe next week. Now if I had opened a position this morning I would push stops BE if I had a bias, if not close the ones in profit and look for next opportunities. Hope it helps.

Most likely, for 1,421x/3x....or bounce a bit up to 1,444x before resuming

after 2 yeas of research i have found 2 best strategy for NFP/FOMC trading both work very well

i figured that most are on short as of now and during NFP (they may not want to play with the large up/downs and hence have to BUY to close their shorts. this may result in a UP for EU?

any comments?

for me.. setting stop in profit would be the best choice i could have.. where there is probability to get better profit.. but still, when (and often) my stop executed, the price move further.. and when it happened in consecutive way, it could affect our mentality then became greedy.. then ruin our week..

stay in profit, better losing profitable opportunity rather than stuck on losing position..

keep calm, consistent, and stick to our tough money management..
