I held my Long position from 97.74 thru the New housing numbers and the ensuing bloodbath.. Going to hold thru early next week.. I still believe USD/JPY short term outlook is still bullish irrespective of little bumps (like the one that occurred this morning)

Gonna be looking for shorts. On the D1 it looks like its ready to make a turn for the south. How far? Not sure, but just like Karie Pips said, that trend line is definitely providing some strong resistance. Also it failed to break through my monthly pivot. Just my .0200 pips.

Short term ??, medium term up, long term down for the Japanese Yen.
let us see if on Monday morning BOJ steps in to weaken YEN. If I were to guess it would be a yes. Why? Because electronics show in Berlin starts in September and the Japanese would like to secure some Christmas orders to help 4th quarter earnings for their manufacturers and companies back home.

Hi guys i am using FF since 1 year but have joined it today.
I would also like to share some analysis of mine on USDJPY.
This daily chart looks like that there is a symmetrical triangle being formed in the daily chart and a little channel inside it price may come at 97.96 and then if the triangle is break-en north then the target is 103-104. What do you guys think about this???

I never saw it at that price. I only saw in the low .50's

I got up around 4:00-4:30 am Taiwan time and took a quick peak online to see where prices were at went back to bed

A good week to you all.I think it is wise to hold your short as price will most likely still travel down south plus General bullish sentiment is changing gradually to bearish.Patience is key in this business of forex.Lets learn to exercise it more often.Thanks and have a lovely week filled with green pips.

Always wise to calculate how much pain the account can withstand. As I see it, a move to 93.5 or even 91.4 is not out of the question. Plus your ususal risk of a WTF-move, aka. 'Black Swan'.

Nevertheless my trade setup favours one go to at least 100.4 first. Although probably after a pullback.

I have still problems to short this pair...

I was reading online that if the QE continues it would be seen as bearish for the dollar. Tough call today. Japan favors a weaker YEN and US favors a stronger dollar.
