Ha ha, I actually don't watch any pair other than EU and UJ right now (and mostly UJ) for VLTF trading only so it was only because I read your post that I took a look at GJ.

I am aiming to work back into my trading routine some HTF PA trading on some core pairs though over the next few weeks.

{quote} Woke up, read the morning Balhana analysis, agreed with it (plus had a strong short bias on UJ) so got involved. Have since closed some at the H1 demand marked. Same time tomorrow for some more Balhana analysis? {image} {image}

2/3 closes at H1 demand and final 1/3 closed when price was just chopping around between new higher demand and supply - clearly the momentum behind the initial move has disappeared by this point.

BE at first BO attempt. Just over 3R on the second. Holiday markets eh? {image}

Nice.

Personally I think holiday markets represent some of the best trading conditions...brings some much needed volatility that for the most part is predictable due to the PA that proceeds it.

{quote} Was also watch'n GJ, but my setup triggered during the asian session, had a bit different reason for the trade. I was waiting for a pullback when price engulfed the S/R @ 15310. There was an abundance of confluence at the pullback but what I liked most was the immediate retest on the 5m-TF after the engulf which told me that 15310 was acting as resistance {image} {image}

I would have liked that too if I was up early enough. Was a similar scenario I was watching on UJ which hit overnight but gave a clear bearish bias this morning.

{quote} Nice one, Toemk! Haven't seen you for a long time. Maybe because of your newly-married life? Nothing on my radar for now, just sitting back and waiting for something to pop up. May need to call it day a bit early.

First trade of the day, smidge over 1R. Called into a meeting so closed out prematurely. Targeted 6,407 for 3R.

The wife has only added fuel to the fire, I got to pay off the honey moon some how!

Very tricky managing FF and the day job when scalping the 1m TF. I need to think of my feet and the level of concentration required is too high for chit chat on exotics

Came back late from work. First trade of the day, too. Bought GA and closed all (3/3) for +96 pips. May flip to short depending on PA.

An obvious 2 spikes down on ur equity curve, tells me about you use "emergency stops/Mental stops" instead of conventional stops behind the zones you trade (i assume u're trading S&D). Not criticizing. Ur equity curve looks good, and those spike didn't affect ur psyche at all. Good job mate! keep it up!

Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.

risk 2% on trade. these spikes are when i failed and tried to beat the market without "signal" and then tried recover lose quickly and of course took more looses ,or moved my SL behind swing.... and from 2% is 10.... -> fail again. as i said NO MORE.

I took a few months break from trading due to a new time demanding job, but after watching LJ's mindset webinar yesterday, I felt inspired to fire up my platform and took this UJ trade for +2.85R (4 pip SL).

Feels great to trade again after all this time. I'll try to work it into my routine and post any trades I take into this thread.

Nice catch!

Here are my VLTF trades (first 3 are UJ) from this afternoon:

Trade 1:

Looking for a short out of the M5 wedge after source of demand within (1) is consumed, which tells me price will move to (2).

Shorted based on basic price action off ignored demand after the source of demand within (1) was consumed as per the M1 chart attached.

Trade 2:

Looking for the continuation down move on the retrace to the former demand area down to the source of the whole move up (after the BO of the pennant formed overnight/this morning).

Again M1 PA got me into this, this time a FB plus retrace.

Trade 3:

Looking to ride price from the above mentioned demand zone back up to the next main M15 supply zone (the strong rejection from new higher demand suggests price will move in that direction to that area). Clearly need supply consumed within the 57 are before looking to ride the last part of the move.

M1 supply consumption BO PA was the entry this time.

Trade 4:

An EU trade based on the expected breakout off this M5 wedge. Clearly had to expect the breakout to the downside given a) the new supply zones forming and holding with strong rejections and b) the CP + LG space below.

M1 demand consumption BO the entry for this one.

Had to wait for US open for any action. Wasn't expecting a big move due to early day gains. Simple 1m BO at approx 1.3R.

This breakout caught me off guard, no trade. The liquidity spike into supply (marked) along with weak follow-through from the opposing demand were a dead giveaway.

Sold EJ, closed 5/6 for +92 pips, and the rest got stopped out for -12 pips. (+80 pips in total).

Nice chart.

Had to wrestle with this one. Stopped out at first attempt, sellers still showing signs of strength. Clear PA on the 5m of the imminent BO. Approx. +2.5R

Missed the DAX BO typing this up! Could be it for me for today, the long weekend is calling.

Edit: Recent average trade duration 6min. Not a reflection of number of hours in front of charts!
