Update 4th March 2014
I have changed the focus on this thread so it is now entirely dedicated to understanding and trading the strategies detailed on my website and through my YouTube videos.
You can find examples of my PA trades in this thread.
The strategies themselves build on what I deem to be the foundations of Price Action Trading, namely:
1. Supply and Demand.
2. Order-flow Dynamics.
3. Professional mindset approach.
They are thus a means to highlight the potential of these concepts but are no way exhaustive or complete and they are designed more for the part time trader / trader with other commitments.
For new readers of this thread, there is no need to read through all the posts, everything you need to know to follow the thread is detailed on my website and through my YouTube videos.
Go through the material then start reading the thread from post 5811 onwards.
In order to aide learning and applying the strategies under live market conditions I offer membership to a Skype group where we discuss upcoming setups, the nuances associated with the strategies as well as it being a central group for like minded traders in similar situations to interact with each other.
PA Trading
As mentioned above, the concepts are very much ‘starter’ level and thus the strategies also only scratch the surface as to what is achievable through PA Trading.
I detail more advanced concepts and strategies through my PA Course – a thread devoted to me sharing my PA trades for learning purposes can be found here
Strategies
The actual strategies that this thread is now devoted to are:
1. False Breakouts (FB)
2. The Daily Retest (DRT)
3. First Time Back (FTB)
Personally I apply the first two on the daily TF only across a large number of FX pairs and the latter across a slightly smaller number of FX pairs and on the M15, M30, H1, H4 TF's.
I'm a firm believer that any PA orientated trading strategy should (except for certain liquidity issues) not be TF or FX pair / asset class specific and that is certainly the case with these strategies.
