Kiwi is right, profrssional traders do not take unnecessary risk. Fomc is basically like gambling.. there are safer options to trade like double bottom or top or with good risk is to reward.. it's easy to blow up an account.. I blown up once.. and I came back trading after a year of demo..

Restatement was because of uncertainty in feds tapering.. people are positioning themselves more to the short side.

Personally, just my personal view, seems like the market have already priced in a tapering scenario, so the eur can end making new highs even on a taper focm, against every common belif (and guess what if no-taper comes out, thing more probable to me).

With the big money on the long side (as Cot show) and retails on the short side presumibly on margin (getting tight with the recent bullish days), well.. i know, the market show no mercy.

Whatever, interesting times ahead later today! Enjoy the show

i had planned on a L scalp 3380 ish. i scrapped that. .. that candle with a close below has me just holding onto a little free short. that 4h close below 3415 was done with London's consent.

I think I disagree on this. Stock and Bond markets have been moving in a way that would be consistent with the expectation of scaling back on QE. What's been driving the EUR higher has been the outflows in EM countries and reallocating those funds into Euro-denominated assets. I also think the fx market is waiting on action and certainty from the fed rather than talk and rumors before it effectively prices in the QE taper.

What I would also love to see in the fed minutes today is chatter and a timeframe for rate hikes, but that's just a pipe dream at this point.

Yes look at chart, I have been bear since late 2007 and since the monthly double top May & July 2008 she has been bearish until the monthly HL july 2012, having said that no I did not catch the 08 crash, but I did better than most, and since the august 2012 she been ranging,
So for now higher timeframes she is ranging after a multiyear bearish run, range breakout soon please up or down I don't care I will adapt, a BO north fron range is posability of a Monthly HH and should be very good probability of a major bull run, however a bo south and print a LL monthly, bear train is back on track all the way to sewer

i wouldn't recommencement to open any new trade today, i might consider counter trade if pa reach 3186/3220 , otherwise just sit back and watch fireworks

I'm always loocking at that specific level for the re-fill-bounce. I don't have a candle closing below that one yet.
