now i think forexfactory has bugs in internet explorer.... sorry for the late chart on my uj h1 long trade.

i was up around 15 pips but it has reversed on me and got taken out on break even.

I do not see that you are averaging down. You have calculated your risk and position size done.

It will take some time for this to work out. Let's keep our eyes on what the next market session will do .

AUDUSD 1H

Entered in the 2nd candle. SL= BE+1.2pips. Will close soon. Going out for dinner. 30 odd pips for this trade with SL of 15pips. R:R 1:2

Hi,

Took a short that backfired. Entered because of what I think is a pullback candle (at the vertical line), because EU has been rangey the past couple of sessions and because the RSI line was coming down from 68. I entered my trade at the open of the next candle. I then closed manually about an hour later at -12 pips because TDI started to flatten out and NY candle broke the previous candle's high. Any advice besides the obvious "don't trade the EU pair" would be greatly appreciated. I missed this morning's long because I wasn't sure if the red APB with a higher close counts as a pullback bar.

A more conservative entry would be to wait until price broke below the pullback candle or wait for a red candle to close before entering......

Thank you for the quick reply! I decided to be agressive because at this time of day, usually when Im conservative I end up shorting at the bottom of a move or going long at the top... Maybe I should consider smaller tfs...

Two trades today on EJ H1....
1st trade.....taken during the Asian session following a pullback candle reversal pattern....entered on a break below the pullback candle with the TDI green below the MBL and crossed over the 50 and ready to cross the red.....TP moved to 100...did not get hit.....exited manually on a pullback.
2nd trade.....taken following the pullback of the red LO candle and a break above yesterday's low....TDI bouncing off the 32 line and about to cross the red....both below the MBL, so I only targeted 50 pips......TP hit.

Hi phx62 forwhich was the pattern entry for entry short that i have to use correctly
the 1° 1.33784 EU break close the real body of pin bar candle or
2° the close below the "fake" APB candle <1.33695???

When there is high volume in the marketplace, that is the time to be conservative because price will usually move 3 to 8 candles in one direction during the London session.
In this case, price had already move up over 80 pips from the London Open. On Euro pairs, once price moves in one direction more than 60 pips, it will seldom reverse without going through a consolidation. In this case, I would never have shorted the pair because there was no consolidation. You needed to wait to see if price would consolidate and then reverse or if price would retrace a little and then move on up. It did the latter.
I would suggest you spend some time back testing for yourself the scenario I just described. See for yourself what happens when the EU moves more than 60 pips in one direction during the London session. That will give you an edge to know what to expect when you see this price pattern again.

took this trade yesterday late night , im in GMT+8 , orange lines are weekly R , maroon line is weekly pivot, u see i dont use HA candles , also i dont use 5 SMA , i use 200EMA just as visual confirmation

this pair is trending nicely nice to knw dat when pair like EU is stingy


im nt following tms rules u can see tdi angle is not right and giving exit signals early. bt PA was nice , i take confirmation frm daily and 1H


p.s. AJ is also a very trending pair

See my answer just below your last post.....there was no short entry....no closed red candle and no break below the entry candle or the pullback candle.

Once more, thank you very much for the thoroughly written reply. I appreciate your help very much. This is what confused me, I didn't consider this upmove to be anything special... Oh and thanks for clearing up to me how to trade pullback candles

very nice trades as always...

i would like to ask a question about the London Session trade...Was it this entry a little agressive? i mean, i would probably wait for the completition of a blue candle and then enter on a break above...

Did you see a strong reversal momentum? There was a strong sell move during the asian session, so maybe expect a little consolidation as well?
