I am back to demo
I feel sick. I need to build up the discipline. this time I will do it fucking right. I need 3 months of profits on demo, then I go live. no other option.

I dunno if it's just me, but you build your discipline in the trenches, not on simulation. Discipline to enter, exit, risk management is built when there is real danger unless your system does not work then by all means demo your strategy, but do not demo your discipline.

it's according to james 16 rules - if you loose some, go for demo
it's also to calm down and to gain some self confidence as I lost it this week

If you think that is the best way for u to go on trading then go for it. You know yourself better than anyone, if that makes sense to you not because someone told u to do.

it's about getting into habit of keeping to rules. my rules are fine - breaking them kills me. I need to learn to stick to rules - that's it.

You are going through what I went trough last year , you will get over it .You can only get over it by continuing to trade and feeling the pain , and correcting yourself , trust me mate ,

I feel pain now. When I know that I lost my weekly salary over 2 days of stupidity. and this was going to be my proper approach. It wasn't I need to get these habits. to get the discipline. Possibly I'll have to stay in the demo until end of the year.

If you have been doing these same stupidity for over a period now, say a year, no demo account will fix that. I think you need to reconsider your trading career, it might not be for you.

it is for me. the point is that I never did it right. I was doing well for short periods of time and then greed was loosing me. once I trade one position which is about 30% of my account it's fine. the loss is not so huge, 1-2% and the profits compensate it (I had 60-80% good trades in tests, but never longer than 3 months, max was 2.5 month, and it ended like always). the point is that after some time I feel too confident, and I trade 2-3 standard positions - I am so sure I will win. and then it works and I win nice cash, catching 20 pips this way gives about 7% profit, so I do it again and once trade turns bad way it's hard to loose so much, so I move s/l, or take a loss, or take a loss after moving s/l - a loss is about 10% lets say. so it's time to get it back, of course as fast as possible, today, now. time for another bet (at this point it's not a trade anymore, it's bet, gambling) and it pulls me down even more, so it's time for another revenge and so on and after few looses self confidence is at the very bottom. this time I am going to post all my trades, with explanations why I got into trade and why I got out, chart showing entry and exit, and so on. and ALWAYS trading 1 position on one pair, and 2 pairs maximum. even if Japan will be bombed with 10 nukes, plus will have an earthquake, tsunami and massive diarrhoea - I will trade only one position - this is the key, if viewers will see I trade more, they can spit me straight into face. before I thought that explorer shown for all was good for me, as I was getting into show off mode, doing mistakes mentioned above to impress others - this time explorer will work for me, not against me.
also no trading at work - this one is stupid. really. when I trade at work I cannot watch oanda's chart - it's port is blocked. so I can trade only on page designed for older mobile phones, and it shows only basic info, current rates, your loss or profit in cash and pips - to view charts I have to go on ff and they are without my indicators - it looses me same way like all above. it will work once or twice and then I suck big style.
so this one hopefully will work.

after all the James 16 moved onto private page, and I cannot afford to go there as the cost is over 100$ a month, but still the thread on ff is good.
I need to work on myself - If discipline will get into my habit - I will move onto live again, but not before 3 months passes

Greed will always be hovering waiting to go in for the kill.

Be satisfied with making just 2% a week and if you can do that you can turn $1,000 into $100,000 in 5 boring years.

Find other interests to take your mind off the charts, or continue working your job.

The reason we fall to the lure of greed is because we are starting out near broke, and it is painfully slow in the early stages watching a $500 or $1,000 account increasing at just 2% a week... on a $1,000 account its just $20 profit a week initially, but if you can handle that, it will be $2,000 a week in 5 years time (enough to retire on).

This is draining me I tell you .I had a choice of 4 trades today
GBP-USD buy
EUR-USD buy
USD-JPY sell
AUD-USD buy


I took ALL of them and waited, GBP-USD hit my stop by less than 9 pips, and it’s GONE. Not to mention that the Buy signals started yesterday and it didn’t move that much, in-fact I traded the signals yesterday and lost.
EUR-USD decided to fake a move up in the morning only to come back and start dancing without any particular direction and hovering around my stop.
USD-JPY took nice profit there – no issues
AUD-USD I was already in the trade from yesterday and since then I suspect it wants to hit my top before moving up again like what GBP-USD did.
This week I have been trading my signals and not moving any stops and being very strict and in return, the market punishes me.
--I am on a bad patch I tell you.
If the remaining 2 lose , then I am done for the week .I have to follow my plan

If you're being stopped out for less than 10 pips, try to widen your stop by 10 pips more and reduce your position size accordingly. GBP had a news, so stop hunting is prevalant from previous lows as you can see in the 4H, the previous low was 1.5420 and it went as low at 1.5421 in my charts, but your stop was at 1.5430.

I am trying to follow my system on stops , I used to move my stop depending on trades but I ended up getting frustrated when the market comes to my stop only to hit me and move up again .I end up thinking , 'if only I had stuck to my initial stop I would have lost less' .I am sticking to my system 100% and I have to take the pain otherwise I get into the habit of breaking rules which is not good in the end .
I am not regretting what I am doing coz it means when I start winning , I will be maximizing as well .It works both ways , I am on a bad patch that's all to be honest
