Disliked{quote} Piptrapper, you are a sharp guy. But....no disrespect meant at all, what are we supposed to do to make money with your weekly forecasts of 6 or 7 pairs. Plus, the usd/jpy took off before the session even ended today. You cant buy into that. -) As far as how a traders mind works....its all true.(smile) We all have had bad marriages to pairs. LOL But sadly many of us break our acct long before we get towards the bottom parts of the chart as we were undercapitalized to pay for our mistakes and still learn while we still have money AND the mistakes...Ignored
I am not here to give signals to other traders, but rather to share my view on the markets and solicit others to do the same.
Obviously I fully agree that if it takes you 7 to 10 years to double your account, then you're better off buying guaranteed bank bonds and sitting on them for a decade while you take on a full time (or part time) job washing cars, flipping burgers, filming pornos or running a fishing charter business. Whatever turns your crank.
For me, Forex is both my primary business and my best hobby all wrapped up into one, so working for a paycheque and letting some bank determine my financial future is not for me. I double accounts in less than 12 months by producing a modest 5% to 15% per month in trading profits. I also regularly skim my account and bring it back down to my original capital balance and then distribute those profits to my other various investments be they other financial products, precious metals/gems or real estate. I don't need to spend any of my profits because what I earn through my part time IT consulting activities is sufficient for me. So you see, everyone is different. This works for me, but I'll bet you it's not for everyone and probably 90% of retail forex traders are overleveraged and headed for total disaster unless they scale back their expectations.
Having said all of the above, I'm not sure if your message was supposed to be directed at me or not because you were responding to another poster's comments. However, since you mentioned me, I thought I would throw in my 2 cents worth.
Best of luck in your trading and may the pips be with you.
