Nice to have a little movement on the charts...still have a ways before the next big trouble spot for bears on EU. Probably not a straight drop down but I'd be surprised if there was anything major before the S/R flip at 1.3265.

Will we see anything interesting happen at this broken support? Perhaps an opportunity to add onto positions if the right price action presents itself...I don't advocate taking it blindly though.

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here, but I've been trading the EUR/USD sucessfully (more wins than losses) for 18 months now and regard this forum as one of the best I found. The comments are always well thought out and valuable.

I'm interested in the GBP/JPY and AUS/USD as both seem ready to rise.

I went long on the GBP/JPY and AUS/USD last week.. very happy so far, but the GBP/JPY looks skittish.
Any thoughts?

For the short term (hourly) I think it's safe to say a rally is in order up to probably 150.148. To me price made some important advances in breaking inhibiting factors to that sort of move, while I see a couple of factors that will hold it above the 149.30 area. Just my two cents, no charts.

for those who trade sp500, today i started building my short position, reason? technicals, as usual.

but if you want a fundamental reason? how about overvaluation? thin market? record market leverage?

and the speculative reasoning? highest probability of a taper was always the Sep 18th FOMC

im not saying this can't go higher, which is why my position is modest, and the bigger ones are above
--- note the THREE TOPS we saw in 2006/2007


if we repeat that, we will go to 1570, then bounce to new highs in sp500... 1750 maybe... then slam time

I tend to let my trades run over days and weeks. I sometimes scalp, but I don't always have the time (and I like my sleep).
Let's see what happens :-)

Ah I wasn't sure of the outlook you were wanting. Takes a while to do a decent analysis of a pair but that was kind of the skinny on hourly anyway.

Going to try a long here …. 1.3303 SL 3285 TP 3337 ? / 3399 ?

Reason :- Area was pretty strong resistance maybe turned support.

Not sure why anyone remains short. The downward move looks complete and a correction to 3360/70 looks obvious.

If you look at the hourly the most likely move would be north of 3400 again.

Just my humble opinion.
