what kind of trades are painful? the one slowly grinds, slowly grinds against you, and you hope it turns at some point. yes it did, turned 10 pips and then slowly slowly grinds you for another 50 pips.

more volatility? go for usdjpy, even better gbpjpy. and do not forget to use high leverage.

At the end of the day, they are parking us right below the weekly trendline. slowly grinding around... almost tenderly kissing it.

Hi everybody i have been reading a lot into this thread and finnaly decided to register. I m also trading and my favorite pair is the eur/usd.

Really liked HDI comments, specially the one about a week ago predicting a ranging market between 1.322 and 1.320 because of options expirity.

I m lucky to have Bloomberg at my job so i checked what information is available about options expiry. There is some, but not for all options as it is an otc market.

Another thing i would like to say is that many opinions here are not constructive, like buy at this level, or sell etc without any explanation why.

Finally my thoughts on the markets right now we are on 1.334. Data from both the us and europe have been strong. Everybody is talking about when the fed will signal a slow down of qe, meanwhile usd is slowly depreciating. Tommorow we will have a jobs report which is very important to see wheter the us jobs market is improving which is the main condition for the fed wants to see in order to slow down qe.

This makes me think that tonight the eur should fall because of the upcoming data. The problem is that in my opinion many people are stuck short and there is a lot of money to be made by big players on the upside.


As it is too late and no big moves are usual, i opened a short like everybody at 1.3335, risking some 20 pips but i want get surprised if it brakes the 1.334 barrier.

If tomorrow us jobs data is better than expected i would short.

Today in the morning i made some 40 pips and then i lost it all trying to catch or go against the breakout..i overtraded, but lets see whats going to happen in the upcoming days.

What timeframe shows the following, and how do you interpret it?

most people here cannot trade the timeframe in the chart
