I love reading your posts and I am eager to learn more about volume and price. Can you please point me in the right direction as to where you get your volume information? and where should I start learning market profile?

Price action videos never bore me. It's fun to watch other people's view on price action, and how they trade it. Been occupying myself with random youtube PA videos all weekend.

Hi, i m new here but i saw you are searching for informations about volume interpretation, so here is a book i found really interesting (sorry for the poor english btw) : http://fr.slideshare.net/daengdanny/...olume-analysis
There is a good explanation on how trends and volumes are related, and a guide to confirm chart price patterns with volumes pattern. It's a really good book to see when a S/R or triangle break out is real or trap, and even to figure out wich side we will exit from a consolidation range.


Just a quote to make you want to read the rest :

"When the uptrend is closing into areas of resistance, strong hands
take from the weak hands. Such areas include consolidation points or
retracements back toward the primary trend line, moving average or
linear regression line. Here in these consolidation points, the law of
cause and effect prevails, implying price change should be relatively
stronger than volume change. This means an uptrend does not need
to produce a greater volume growth relative to price appreciation
when the stock or market approaches a resistance area or support
where many weak hands reside. Within these consolidation zones,
should the volume change be greater than the price change, the market
operates under the principle of conservation and effort exceeds
results."

EDIT : also if you like volume approach, 'Volume by price' is agood indicator for supports and resistances.

"markets in profile" by James Dalton
"Trading with market profile" by Peter Steidlmayer.
I learned some ideas from the internet. Just need time to read the above two books.

Naaa, my question was honest, because I have not figured it out for my self, if options etc. have a high impact in trading Forex. I know that it is a wise approach to look at when trading stocks and stock indices.

Agreed its a strong level. I was long from 8586 with a 5 pip stop loss (under 8582 lows). Man I should have held that longer.

We've broken a rising trendline on the H4, but price has jumped right back up to re-test 1.33

I stand neutral going into this trading week until I can see a clearer short-term direction.

And it will get there so saddle up.
Then next target = 0.8480 or 0.8465 if it gets through the support.
