Get in small size. I will get in less than full position just in case it overshoot same as E/A so don't have drawdawn issue that will cause me losing sleep

But need to watch CRUDE as it affects CAD

EA never traded below 1.1605 in the last 20 years. you might have a typo.

Wallah, I couldn't understand the table. Traced precendents and dependents but no use, too much for me. not for any broker i have ever traded with

long is a negative swap... and its twice as much as the positive swap for going short (for me)


wow 27 cents a day off a standard lot.. not very much

the short swap for me on 1 standard lot on euraud is like $12 or something


what do you mean you wouldn't lose anything if EA fell to 1.16? equity is all that matters not account balance.

not taking profits is a loss when it becomes obvious to do so, it becomes a loss in my book

Truth.

Why isn't 10% a month enough for anyone these days?

Just spend the first week building monthly profit to 1%.
Then 2nd week go for 2% gain.
3rd week go for 3%.
4th week go for 4%.

That is 10% in a month using very low risk on the 1st week.

Use a leverage of 0.5:1 even.. only need 40 pips a day that 1st week to get your 1%.


Of course easier said than done, but I notice that profitability has less to do with the traders average pip amount, and more to do with their largest losing streak, and revenge trading during the losing streak. Forgetting the discipline to decrease leverage as the account decreases. Usually the leverage is increased. Even the best of traders lose their accounts to this.

I'm excited for volatility to pick up again. It's been far too long. Should be a perfect trading environment come this Fall after September FOMC

aussie next solid support is 8000, it is still about 900 pips away. ea solid resistance is about 550 pips away. looks like going short on ea is better than longing aussie.

This is a good risk management practice. Money in a broker's account is always at risk, no matter you are in a trade or not.

Yes you would but HDA has a long EURAUD (unless im mistaken which is probable) and said he wouldn't suffer any losses if EA fell

I was simply pointing out that not taking profits when the market is telling you to do so is a loss in my book.

Such as letting a move run 3000 pips in profit and then letting it retrace back to entry.


Equity is all that matters so in my book, it would be a loss
