I disagree completely! It's all about lots, money management, stop losses and good entries. There's no way you should blow your account period with solid money management. You can literally have HUNDREDS of bad trades before you'll run out. This also includes solid R/R

Yup. I have sell limits activated that I placed last week 1.0345

Originally this was the take profit of long 1.0255...

margin calls mean taking a permanent loss and you cannot get in at the same price later. that is why they use lower maintenance margin than initial margin. you close your loss at maintenance margin and you do not have high enough initial margin to get in right away. you have to wait a price movement to get in and you lose the difference between initial and maintenance margins. for example, if you go long and you have to close your position at price 1.1 due to margin call. later you cannot get in at 1.1 to continue your long, you will have to enter at maybe 1.105

there were many big accounts blown out in the 2008 -2009 crash. using high leverage and you cannot protect yourself in a situation that large slippage happens in a fast large market movement.

yup and is to much talk about how easy trading is.

too much moaning about getting stopped out, the sl actually protected account like its supposed too, better to be stopped out in a good trade than holding a fuk ugly one

This is not a get rich quick business, it takes a lot of learning, study, losses, it takes good planning, good money management, account protection, all 3 should include loss calculations

Leverage should match your ability / skill not account size, slow managed account accumulation traders will outlast high leveraged gunslingers any day, all high rollers live the eventually end up clawed to shreds, hoof imprint on skull and horn up their ass

i saw the above fat finger event on my screen. the dow and spx just plunged in minutes and recovered some in minutes. if your account got demolished it is your loss. but if you gained, well those bastards revoked lots of trades.

The talk over the wire is to target 1.3126 through to 1.3090

As to when that will happen - that is not written on stone -

A bounce is expected first before the dive.
