RBA may be selling their own currency. Stevens said yesterday he wont be surprised if AUD drops. so it could be RBA against traders right now.

I would have to agree, but to what end? .85, .8... .75? To think three months ago it was sitting at 1.06 is crazy. For a while I thought the ol' carry trade is dead, but I was wrong, we just carry it on the way down.

The think is with this type of reaction, is a rate cut being priced in for a sell the rumor, buy the fact? Because we'll break .9 and a blurb will come out "traders see Aussie undervalued" and bam a 150 pip squeeze. Wouldn't be the first time.

Aussie undervalued? which country is going to use AUD as a reserve currency?

i think some were calling for a short then. as early as the summer before. to s there if/when we got there.

Breathe. It has happened before. Squeezes don't make reserve currencies. After 300...400 pips we are likely to see a little upside. As I posted 457 times before, I do not believe squeezes reverse sentiment.

a different animal.. they are more agriculture based, and the Aussies lean toward mineral. when china slows, so does the Aussies.

Yes. Earlier this year I mentioned on a few posts the divergence between Aussie fundamentals and AUDUSD. IMO it reached 1.06 purely for yield. Yield was cut and there was no compelling reason to hold it. I was debating several Aussies on FF about how I thought it was overvalued last fall, and they swore up and down that the Australian economy was just booming.

My next target is high .87 than to .85.

I don't believe the hype. Contrarian through and through. I do a lot of research, and study charts several hours a day. It was there if you extended to charts out further enough. It was topping out. And it wasn't hind sight, I seen the correlation with Aussie and yen and sold, and has been a seller since the BoJ started their QE. You can search through my 2500 posts to see.

Everything I said "makes sense" it was just validated lol
