it's bad day to trade. prices are moving randomly, not driven by anything. we'll see at US data release at 3pm

Agree, I am on the EURAUD for the long term , GBPUSD trades are intraday - these are not looking good

The period of losing trades is upon me , I can see it coming ..This is that period when whatever trades you take will be WRONG , and you just can't do anything about it besides stopping .

just don't trade - I have a feeling that you have it same like me, you can trade only in some market circumstances - there were times when I was profitting 7% a day every day and then something changes and booom. It is easy to trade when market has strong trend, but when trend reverses it already goes against you. I lost 4,7% today - will see what will happen at 3pm, but if I won't see anything I'll just let it go till Monday. I'll try to focus on finding one-two great signals a day, in stead of getting minor signals - even If I won't find one - I won't loose. In general a thinking about going for higher frames - then even 10% profit would be achievement.
Also looking for own business and/or moving to another better paid depot of my employer

thanks. I see that trading will lead me to some god profits some day but it won't be a full time, so I start looking for another idea for life

Typical Market , I reached my target , thought it was a bit unwise to close since I expected a big move on these AUD pairs , thought hard about the risks , etc , closed the pairs in order to stick to my rules , and guess what,the pairs have moved at least 100 pips each from my closure point.
This is just crazy I tell you.

moved more than 100 pips. my indicators were showing me it will go up (when price was around 1.44), but I didn't expect such a big movement. Anyway, I didn't get into trade as I don't trade when can't stare at monitor. my s/l is usually only 7-10 pips, so it's obvious I cannot leave it on its own or give it trailing s/l and sometimes prefer to close the trade manually if price hesitates

Expectation does not mean guarantee. You closed the trades based on your plan, so it is good trading habit. What if it reverses and you end up in a loss, then you would be crying again and kick yourself.

I took two trades of GBPAUD and exited one at 100 pips and 206 pips and that was the plan.

All indicators were pointing to a BIG move .BTW , your stop is too small , mine is at least 20 pips

I totally disagree in trading terms.

A win is a win when it is according to plan. A gain of 50 pips when the plan was to exit at 150 pips gain is a lose.

A gain is a gain, but not always a win.

he said he closed his trades according to his rules/plan, but was upset to see them go way into potentially more profit after closing them... post #1290 is what I was referring to

pt49 - what is wrong? you were doing so good, with over 25% profit as far as I remember

as about me: made 6,5% profit this night on EUR/AUD with dance rules. I spotted price constrainment on 1h chart around 10ema, so I went in with 25 pips (about 2,5% risk) s/l (had to let it breath as I went to bed). on m15 the price was sticking to 35sma. so I entered at 1.4630 with t/p around 1.47.

the funny thing is that on ff over 70% are shorting this pair - it is a good indicator to go against them, as most of people with explorers on this forum can't trade, so if over 70% says short it is time to long you just have to be careful as the price wasn't that high since June 2010
