FOMC has very often the most serious impact on the market of all the news.
Far more than NFP.

I've never seen a trend change caused by NFP, I have often seen a trend change caused by FOMC.

Won't disagree with your very accurate price level - but we have to remember that it is not always to the pip - there is a range area that price may want to over shoot and I would not be surprised to see the over shoot move into the 1.3325 to a max of 1.3350.....that is if you are looking for price to move down.....over shoots are common - but I do agree with your very accurate 1.3293 level. The longer price consolidates sideways at current levels then there is less of a chance of an over shoot into the levels I mentioned and 1.33 round number should cap move.

Most likely looking at price rejection on June 6 and June 7 and June 20 on a 4 hour chart and now looking at the consolidation of price where we are currently trading.

it still may overshoot just to take out stops above 1.33 before falling down hard.

if it retrace now and bounce back to the high before wednesday FOMC, then it likely will take out the high and aim for 3416 of June high and take it out.

You appear to be a bull -

Take a look at a 5 year or better yet a 10 year chart on the Euro - note the series of lower highs since 2008...note that as price has come down since 2008 it has never be able to take out any of those previous highs....and we are now in a price zone where we are not able to take out previous highs seen in 2005 or during the price run up to the highs of 2008.

We know euro zone still has problems, we know unemployment rates are documented at above 25% on some countries - all being said - we all look at things in the light of how we perceive price action.

However, his comments tend to agree with the technicals of the market as not to send shock and unnecessary volatility through the markets... I always found it an odd coincidence that he talks the market into the way they want to go anyways. These days it makes more sense.


My levels are important to monthly closes. They are not brick walls of resistance like swing highs/lows tend to be.
If monthly closes above/below these levels with RSI agreement I have a strong signal.

no im not a bull. euro will go up a little then comes down hard. it is just that the current technicals point it up a little bit.
there are more things involved than just QE, crisis in the us and the ez. the dollar is a reserve currency, and euro is the only next currency countries like to reseve as an alternative to the dollar. when euro becomes cheap, countries like to have it as a reserve next to the dollar.
