GJ Bulls or Bears: Interesting action in GU at the moment now that we are in London Session. There is recent Bear action on the M1, but I think MM's are still Bulls as this may be them tricking in longs to take them out with a lower push down later.

Updated chart due to typo.

You have a good point. And patient is definitely something I need. We can always see the current action and wait to see if it continues or coming near a reversal, in which may be the best time to build as we are now near the bottom or top, and thus at a level for maximum profit and best average position. I have to admit, I do jump on the boat too quick at times :-). In this case, GU has been building up for quite awhile now so not so bad to enter here. Especially with the dragon flattening out. You are right that what matters is where price moves afterwards. The problem is no one knows! So we can only do the best we can and try to be more of a sniper (which I need more experience). PVSRA also requires a very high level of perseverance in addition to patience.

I solve this problem by only adding as prices move lower a certain number of pips at key SR levels. In the run for profits, I may add if there are sonic classic setups and still in my building range. But like you, I'm still trying to find that sweet spot.

Yes, and the best time for scouts has to be when price is at an extreme level one way or another, otherwise it makes more sense to stick with sonic set ups. That would be the best way to improve patience using PVSRA... wait till price is at an extremely oversold or overbought level on H4 or D1.

Thanks Joe. I actually don't enter SL either. But I do enter TP. But I guess I really don't need to with PVSRA. I'll try it out. At least I won't ever have this problem anymore! It was such a disaster to take this loss for such a stupid reason, when the trade had much potential.

If you are doing classic sonic entries, yes. A classic sonic entry will give you 1 entry above the candle that breaks the upper dragon on the third leg. Make sure you have the LL-HH-HL pattern. You can look through trades done on this forum. Lots of good classic entries. Tah gives examples all the time. Read post 1 more carefully.

Here's something that I use to help define OB / OS - as a "hard" number, and as such, it can be made into an Objective Trading Rule....

Post # 53,056 " Likewise, a non coloured 34 ema has just +/- 40 pip dashed outer bands as a reminder that price is a long way from the dragon and can be expected to pull back - except in VERY strong moves where the dashed band will show when the move starts to loose momentum "

The actual pip values of any outer band need to be researched and also the Time Frame best suited for this idea, but adding Outer Bands to The Dragon can provide an Objective Level at which a reversal entry may be considered....

Looks like Bollinger Bands (BB), but without the measure of dynamic volatility. BB itself is a statistical measure of price movements. Maybe the same principles for BB can be applied.

This has the look of the MMs currently at the table saying, "Well, we've done our part. Now it is up to the US team to carry the ball (down). We've softened the opposition and given the US team good ball placement for our run......"

Could it be that this whole number area (+/- 20 to 30 pips because the MMs position building is not exacting either) is "Custer's Last Stand"?

Perhaps they could, but I am trying to keep this a KISS system and thus have used fixed value bands as in the Keltner Channel and as I have met Linda Bradford Raschke, I've probably subconsciously used some of her ideas as she was a great exponent of Keltner's work....
