My EJ trade this am took on break of Asian high, not as many pips as phx62 but 23 in the bank so slowly becoming profitable.

Thanks again all you regulars especially Emmanuel and PHX62.

Emmanuel, I have been looking for the indicator of the average weekly range and a good S/R indicator, like that supply indicator you use. but I can't find them. Can you give me the names of those indicators, so I can find them in the list?

Ok,let me try and explain more clearly to you.
I don't know about your AU chart but I've checked your UC chart with mine and I don't see any different. So maybe you want to check back .
About your AU trade,price on daily chart is still inside the PAC so price is consolidation (moving sideways). You have 2 choices:1 is stay out of the market and wait for the market to trend to enter,2 is jump in but expect the market to be really hard to trade. You want to enter(let's say H4 chart) when the APB bars are riding on top(bottom) of the PAC. Again,I believe that there are a lot of video on compassfx about sideways market or ranging market and how to spot them.

And your UC trade,I didn't mean that. When you see the price couldn't break through previous candle low,you should pay attention to the market and be caution that the market will go into consolidation or retrace. In this trade,when the APB bar was trying to get inside of the PAC,it indicated that price was moving sideways for the moment. Even on the Weekly chart,APB bar closed inside the PAC. If you watch synergy video,you will know that Dean Malone doesn't recommend trading when APB is inside the PAC. If you want to trade the trend and have a conservative entry,wait for the signal on daily chart and enter on LTF.

Anyway,hindsight is 20/20 but as emmanuel said:"We learn from hindsight".

I made pics of your chart and mine, but I don't think they are the same! Am I comparing different charts??

Anyway, I will look at the compassfx video's again, I think I need to go back to school. But I do know what I'm doing wrong is looking at the right setup on the H4 and use the daily just for trend. I need to have a clear set-up at the daily too, if I want to trade the H4.

Not sure if you saw but there seems to be resistance which might turn support. I would not have taken a sell right there.

This was the trade I took a couple hours before london opened. Looks like bulls are still in control in UJ after finding some support I entered.

Looks like they missed you there buddy !

No, you put the MPTM directly in the " experts " folder of your MT4 broker program

When you open MT4, you will find it in the " Expert Advisors " section between Indicators & Custom Indicators

Drag & drop it on to your chart, it will open a window

Here you can make all the adjustments as well as LOAD the " preset " file mentioned before

Click on the LOAD button as shown in picture below, a window will open the preset folder

If you have saved the supplied file in there, it will show, click on it

Any time you make changes to the MPTM settings, you can click the SAVE button and save to the presets

Either save it over the existing file or name a new file eg TMS_001, TMS_002 and so on

You wont find them here in FF.

The Average Weekly range is something I created from another indicator for my purpose to analyse the history data to see how market traded each week from the week open. I use a 52-weeks (1 year) and 104-weeks (2-years) traded range average to determine my 4H swing trade targets. It is a cannablised indcator and is still 'buggy' and heavy on CPU resource. I need time to debug and make a clean version before I can share it here. This is only use for weekly trade planning so not necessary for everyday trading.

The supply zone shown in my chart posted is drawn manually. I eyeball the D1 charts and look for significant swing points using the close prices. Whenever I see a swing point being tested again, I zoom in and use MT4 rectangle drawing tool to draw a rectangle to enclosed the close price and the high price, then extend that to current market trading price region.
I also do this using the Weekly chart to look for any significant W1 swing point in the region of current market trading.

Basically, what is important is to observe how market reacts when trading in this identified support and resistance zones. Other traders will call these as supply and demand zones.

Yea I guess so!

So do I load that on to a chart after I have placed a trade, or before I place a trade? And will this apply to this 1 trade only, or to all future trades on that pair and I have to cancel it if I dont want that to happen?

Now I know why,we have different broker. My broker timezone is GMT+3. If I'm not wrong,your broker has "Sunday candle" so you chart have 1 more candle than mine,and I don't think it's a big deal.

Hi Fx 94,

MTF analysis is a must have methodology to follow when trading TMS.
There is s good article in Investopedia website.

You can setup TMs with Triple Screen with the TDI and APB for all three chart timeframes. Stochastics (8,3,3) is optional. Do not use any other indicators for TMS. The Alexander Elder Triple Screen is the concept we follow, but we do not follow his system yusng the MACD. We use only the TDI on all charts.

For TMS 4H swing trading, I use :

W1/D1 charts as the first screen. W1 I check only at the begiinning of the week to see the W1 Price Action and identify key support and Resistance. Then switch to D1 TF whcih I see on everyday basis. Both will help me determine the Primary Trend.

H4 as the second screen. This is the timeframe I use to look for trade setups.

H1 as the third screen. This is the timing chart for entry.

You will need a lot of chart practice in realtime to build up experience. Be patient.

It is difficult to explain a lot in posting here. But if we all post our charts and write what we see, it would help in the learning more effective and much quicker.

Yea Im a bit confused to say the least!

Are scripts part of the EA or are they separate?

Should the scripts be loaded in to the Experts/Scripts folder or the Experts/Preset folder?

TMS folks,

MPTM is a very good trade manager EA. It has many features which you can use to manage TMS trades.
But this EA is a monster so you will need time to try it and learn how to use it and use those features in your trading with TMS.
It works great for my 4H swing trading with multiple entries trading and managing a basket of trades.
It took me more that 6 months of intensive use to learn to use its features. I have been using this for close to 4 years since.

For those of you who are new to using Expert Adviser, it will be tough because it is somethig new and needs time to learn.

Alternative, you can use Cavemanager EA as many traders here uses that EA trade manager. It is a lot easier to use this compared to MPTM.
