I've got levels coming out of my ears. If one can't tell in what order they will be hit, they mean exactly shit so better have your stops tight. Also, predicting more than one move in advance also mean shit.. Unless you want to delusion yourself.. I use these traders a lot as a conterindicator, as they are wrong more often than not.. Now, come out and bash my head.. Don't really care..

Hatch here is one of my accounts I trade on a LAMM account with FXCM. I am not trying to put more fuel to the fire but in my opinion EW is the best leading indicator out there. Yes, sometimes you have to count and recount and make decisions and yes I believe you have to use other tools to enter and exit the markets because one thing that EW lacks is time duration of waves, however, EW is the best at giving one a sense of direction. EW might not fit with everyone, but here is proof the EW works. Anyway my thoughts. To each our own...

Hi MIG,

well, firstly I have to admit, that I do hate counts on the weekly, because too much of information gets lost in a single candle.

You have labeled the "wedge" as ABCDE, which is a triangle. But a triangle can not be in a wave 2 position. So we have to work with kind of complex correction like WXY. The end of your wave C could be wave W, D would then be wave X, and now we are up in wave X with a zigzag eventually. So the target would be still the same as on your picture.

So we can take a closer look at the wave X down. On daily chart and lower TF's there is a very good chance to count it as impulse. So chance is, that wave 2 up is already finished, and we are now in wave 2 up of one lesser degree.

As you know, wave 2's can go the whole distance when retracing. Only a breach above 3416 will invalidate that.


But to put it short: right now we have no tradeable long time setup with high probability when we look at EW

When counting weekly or monthly charts, sek confirmation on lower TF. Since social mood can change at any given time and price, the structures manifest first in lower TF.

If it would be other way around (the higher TF's dictate the lower TF - I mean in EW sense), that would spare us a lot of counting, alternatives and trouble LOL

This is oftentimes not understood well. It is, as I described it above, but the reason for us to search the right waves on higher TF is, because the waves manifest (or get better visibility) on higher TF's.

Came back to note few things. (got 100 pips range filled, from open should see price at 65)

This kind of slow move usual ends up reverse news (in this case likely target 50% of intraday open or bottom - top).

Another alternative is total breakout upside testing FOMC afterwards top price level above 1.32.

Algos are always there....for misinterpreted news as well.
