NZD has its trade balance and business confidence data coming out tonight and i was wondering if anyone thinks the numbers tonight will be enough to move the NZD/USD up or down before tomorrow's data comes out?

Every time the NZD or the AUD get some bad news they always go up first before falling.

Maybe. The trade balance had no effect. So now we wait for the Business data coming out in 2 hrs.

Maybe everyone is waiting for the business confidence data to come in in a couple of hours, after reading the report below I'm expecting confidence to be shaken a little bit.

Just about every thing in imports exports is down.

Looking at this I'm not sure if it will stay in the blue sideways channel or not, I really feel like pulling the trigger on a short but the little voice inside of me is saying wait until the price gos up to the red line on the 4hr channel where the price will also line up with the 61.8 Fib, opinions anyone?

i think will go up to 0.79000 area before we see a down again. sorry was unable to post my chart as i am working =)

Much depends on the Aussie.If Aussie slides 90 then I think Kiwi most likely will fall to 7650 area.

Got a nice Head and Shoulders forming on the 15 min right now. Almost at the neckline. Could be a nice lil drop soon

I'm short. Technically i see a H4 head and shoulder formed and fundamentally we know how closely kiwi is tied with aussie, and AUD just tested the major physiological 0.9 and is still fiercely bearish. Let's see how this plays out

I agree that the pair is likely to rise next week, but I still believe the NZD is overvalued. Therefore I personally won't go long on this pair, but will wait for the right moment to sell. Those going for 0.82 should be cautious as I predict strong resistance at 0.8.

I don't see how this will go up very high (if at all) unless there is more talk of rate hikes. And I thought RBNZ's Wheeler is kind of trapped with the housing bubble preventing him from lowering rates and him wanting to push the Kiwi lower? I went short on 7/12 at 0.7850 and rode it down to the support at 0.7780, but I would like to see it severely break 0.7780 and then test to 0.7713 as the next major support.
