No luck involved, market makers have an interesting coincidence of placing the market in the right technical positions before some of these big news events. Admittedly it was a pretty exceptional run although ended up exiting half way to the low here.

im a polymer scientist (a PhD). only a small part of oil is used to make plastics. the major part of oil is used still as energy to run cars, heavy vheicles like tanks, bulldoozers, warships, aircrafts. but those are not the whole part of the economy
