It was a bit harsh. Here's my perspective on this though - every trade should have some reason for it to work. Order flow, masses seeing something, psychological numbers...magic lines on a chart that provide nothing else but a possible entry point just don't fly with me. And pointing at them telling me absolutely nothing about them is pretty useless.

I could see that... but I also enjoy coming up with really obscure trading styles as well. Even the folks who trade dustbins... They put lines on the charts every 20 pips and as soon as a cross happens, they go for 12 pips targets.

I guess what I am trying to say is that, it really doesn't matter. You can use whatever form of magic you want. As long as you have the right combination of r/r and w/l ratios you'll come out on top.

One of my strategies I put together had a 10% winning percentage... lol. But the reward was always high enough to compensate and the losses were next to nothing.

Granted, winning more then not feels better, so I stick with those on the live accounts.

Plenty of money to be made both ways IMO. I'm still waiting for the bottom to be retested before I get longs going yet... but I don't mind being stopped out. Sometimes I am... other times it's glorious.

That spike up did give a nice clean entry on the 1h. To bad I wasn't paying attention. I was zoomed in too far on the m15

You basically take advantage of the fact that the euro likes to move in 20 pip increments at a time. So you take advantage of the middle of the waves.

Generally risk:reward is 1:1... that is 12 pip risk for 12 pips reward. The edge comes from a highly accurate and high win rate.

Grid-trading for 12 pips, in and out. Better than aiming for 3 pips, but more of a "keep-you-busy"-therapy tbh. Compounding involved, reserves needed.
