Another weekly view looking positive, although the RSI is low and the trade signal still downwards. The horizontal lines are Fibs various lows going back to 2008

Hi Buttonjock,

i have a few more indi's on my chart just to try and make things better for myself, although - i do like everyone else seems to - try it - dump it and try something else,
the ema,s are 3,7,18 and then the 55,100& 200.
like the 2 & 7 the 3 & 7 act very much the same - but the purple 18, if the yellow 3 crosses it - trend direction changes - as the author put it one billion times out of a billion......
looking at a chart - it acts very similar to the tdi green line - when it crosses the 50 line , the yellow (3) crosses the (18)

bottom set of stochs i picked up from trading with stochs thread, the yellow dots do help to tell if the trend is to continue, there are two sets of stocks on one window - (marked in the corner)

other than that it all is as TMS, Tdi with 8,3,3 overlaid, RSI 10 bar chart... etc...

The oooops was forgot to atatch chart....

Hi guys,

After long time lurking activities in the original TMS thread I stumbled upon this one, which probably fits me a lot better.
I do not have a huge amount of time to put into this, since I'm a student, and we all know students have a lot of "extra curricular" activities involving alcohol .

I monitored a few pairs for the last two weeks, and executed my first demo trades this week, risking 3% per trade (which is actually quite a lot IMO).

First trade EURNZD, +350pips, SL @200pips
2nd Trade EURAUD, +140pips, SL @BE

nice trades pipwoofer, keep us posted. i am also finding this method and timeframe suits me better, all i have to do is literally look at my charts for 5 minutes everyday, and select only the high probability trades.

one thing to remember about a swing strategy like this is the old adage *let the winners run*. this is the key to tms for day charts, often winners will run and run and run

Hey everyone, really appreciate this thread for day trading. I love the TMS system, but can't do 4H time frame on the London open because I have sleeping problems, and interrupting my sleep a couple times a night is a big no no for me. I do have a few questions about the indicators however, they should be pretty simple. I just want to make sure I have everything down pat before I start demo trading.

For the 100, 200, and 21 EMAs that are mentioned. What do you set the shift to? Default is 2, do you just keep it at that?

For the TDI indicator, I downloaded it and only the green and red lines showed up in the default. I changed the colors of the other lines, so now I have the 5 lines (2 channel lines + base line). Is this all the tinkering that is needed?

For the ATR, is it possible to get both the ATR 1 and ATR 7 to show up at the same time? I ask because my charts only display one of them if I input 2. So I have to close one to look at the other and vice versa.

Does the supply demand indicator in the first post need any tinkering? Or is it good to go?

Lastly, how exactly do you overlay the RSI(10) with the TDI indicator? Can I just use the standard RSI indicator that comes with my broker in the MT4 platform?

No shifts on the emas
I do have shift of 1 on thr 7 ema
Tdi sounds good
For atr set atr 1 first and then repeat for atr 7 - only atr 7 will show on the chrt - atr 1 will display in the data window

You can drag the rsi into a chrt window from the indicators - ill post it when I have access to mt4 later tonight

RSI 10 will track the RSI Price Line if you add it to the TDI window.

All you have to do is to open the Navigator, locate the RSI and drag it into the TDI window

I have looked at 3/5, 5/8, 2/7. 3/7, etc, so this is a forward test to see how this pair of EMAs performs against the TDI. Current results indicate it stacks up well against TDI - no huge advantage at this time.

What may happen is that I will probably keep the 7 and the confirmation arrows - time will tell all.

i cant remember what thread i got the 3 / 18 ema from -
it may have been the MTF made simple... but not sure, i was using this (yellow) 3 and (pink)18 which when cross trade continues, but then picked up earlier trades using Britpips 7 ema as well,
i did change the 3 to 2 - but didnt make much difference so went back to the three -
so in essence i have cobbled three ema,s together from two different guys.

hope this clarifies what i am trying to do with the ema,s

Currently waiting for a good re-entry if possible. I guess I tried to secure my profits a little bit too fast.

Looking at the next move on the U/J? RSI is maybe a little high and TMS didn't quite reach the 68

FOMC is driving the current PA, so once the markets settle I'll be looking for new entries - I'll post charts as the opportunity arrises

Good luck interpreting signals on EU - depends on whether you believe that this is a trend turn or just an FOMC reaction which will slowly retrace over the next few days.

Watch on lower timeframes for entries.
