currency futures have no swap. in london session and new york session the spread can get to 1 pip. the commision with interactive brokers is 33 cents per micro contract (you make 1.25$ per euro pip, and 1$ per cad pip). so spread plus commision is 1.33 pip.

m6c is micro contract for usdcad, but in reverse order CAD/USD, $1 per pip.

the drawback of currency futures is that the CME (futures exchange) closes between 4pm and 5pm central time. any movement in that time frame will be missed.

I bought a bunch of ADP stock in 2008 or so for $35, now it's worth more than double. I worked there as a senior treasury analyst until they sold my job out to Bangalore in India.
I bought Citi stock for $1 and BoA stock for $4 per share a few years back.

I guess that was a smart thing to do.

any one investing 100k in citi stock at that time would have almost 5 million now. but who knows citi would be too big to fail at that time?

It was a gamble that gave me many sleepless nights, especially when they where talking about breaking it in half or letting it go bankrupt.

And yes I'm still holding, actually I added bank stocks like Wells Fargo at a recommendation from the master, the Oracle of Omaha, Warren Buffet.
I also bought Google stock in 2008 for $300, now it trades above $800.

Too bad I didn't buy Apple. I never wanted anything of that company because I thought they only made weird computers.

Now I have an I-phone myself and just realized that when I'm driving I have 3 GPS devices in my car.

1 regular GPS (Garmin Nuvi)
1 in my radar and red light control device (Escort)
and
1 in my I-phone.

I've never understood how anyone can live in Chicago.
I was there 1 day far back and in summertime and even then I didn't like it.
The only thing I liked back there was swimming in Lake Michigan out of a a little city named Holland.
I was born in Holland, not that city in Michigan, but in Europe, in Amsterdam, where the pot and the hookers are legal and cheap.

Now I live in San Diego, the pot is still cheap because it's real easy here to get medical marijuana, only the escort girls are a little bit more expensive.
Like $400 per hour and up. But forex takes care of that.

i like east coast and west coast, and probably will move to one a few years later. Boston and New York are nice. San Francisco and San Diego also nice.
