Do you believe moving average systems work?

I believe MA strategy, with well-defined stop losses. (trend following strategy). I use back testing, but I have not found good enough, robust method that applied to the FX market.
I prefer a simple strategy. If someone has a system that believes it is a good and reliable, have it published, and I'll try to do a back test and publish the results.

After spending years testing out all of the indicators, I have successfully settled on just one, a moving average cross over. I have found that it works best with a specific pair and a specific time frame. It should be noted that they work not in and of themselves but because large numbers of people use them.
yes I agree, my girl ( I always speak of her) only trades(or did) on e/u with a 2/20 ema on hour chart. I only trade the e/j on 9/18/30 with hour chart and 10 min confirmation when it happens

Trade qopen range breakout and/or inside bars and you cannot go wrong. I think trying to develop a MA strategy could prove wrong but it can be done or going off my testing , be good

we had on e/j an inside bar which could of been traded aggressively for 10 pips, I did not do this one as the spread was too much and close to us open

Thanks for the offer. Here is one that I have found to be effective. It is in the Euro/yen 5 min TF and the MA's are 5 and 8. I haven't done a lot of back testing on this so it would be interesting to see what the results would be.

Hi guys, I am back from holiday now, its so annoying to find out that the weather forecast for the next few days is 100% better that it was over my holiday week ie no rain or wind but never mind we still had a great time . hope you were having good time on this thread too

HI pipy, thanks for your offer . I will definitely need your help to test our system once its finalised, not that I cant do it but being the creator of the system I'd rather have someone else check it to eliminate any bias in my testing and results

thanks for asking my friend . I am pleased to tell you that the system has only got better , I will post more details later tonight , as just arrived home from holiday
