Added long #11, Scout. Same reason as the others today. The fact this price manipulation continues into the wee "off hours" of the US session is further evidence of how anxious the MMs are to get low priced longs on the books as soon as possible. The MMs can more easily manipulate prices to their advantage in such "off hours". If they are running price low to advantage themselves, then it is proof they are bulls seeking lower prices to add longs. Adjusted TP.

Funny how the 2 rectangles mathches in lenght

Might be a nice way to catch and fake breakout traders...but letīs see if 127.2 comes in play.

PVSRA & Trading Ruminations

Don't try to figure out how high or low the price might go. And don't worry about when the price might reverse. All that is important is to know if the price movement is being driven by bulls or bears. You can determine this by carefully studying what happens with the price movement, and the volume of it, when price gets in the area of key support and resistance. The details are in the study of PVSRA, but for now just know that a well done PVSRA indicates if the price movement is being driven by bulls or bears.

Knowing if bulls or bears, the rest of trading is easy. If bulls, buy at the lows created by the bulls as they move price up and as they move price down. If bears, sell at the highs created by the bears as they move price up and as they move price down. You are planting seeds. The harvest will come. Again, the details are in the study of PVSRA, but for now just know that you should plant small seeds well spaced apart. Never dig into your seed bag too deeply, as you want always to have plenty left. You want always to be able to feel you can easily take advantage of planting one more should another great opportunity present itself.

Trade very, very, very light relative to account size. Never worry how high or low the price might go, because every move further is another opportunity. Never worry about when the price might reverse, because there might be a number of times it will happen as the bulls or bears walk their furrows back and forth doing their own planting. When they plant you also plant, but lightly and selectively.

Trade relaxed, be patient, and enjoy Harvest Time.

Real market makers are banks who dont trade at your platform. This volume actually means that many traders at your broker like to to play contrarian strategy.

What about Stop Loss?. I see lots of charts, some of them made by myself, but I never see SL points...I use to place them according to my Money Management, but sometimes these settings are not enough. I had to change them in order to avoid be hit by MMs...And obviously this goes against the Money Management spirit.
THis morning, although I put several trades in the correct way, their SL were hit by the MMs. And the SLs were correctly placed according to my Money Management.
I do not see your SLs in your charts. Is it because you are using a demo account?

I think this is a very good system, it is clear, but it requires a constant dedication, several hours a day in front of the screen, monitoring the Stop Losses.

It is just an opinion.

I believe he trades small enough to handle the drawdown. According to his trades now, and assuming smallest standard lot, he has about 0.11 lots open, with a current drawdown around 36pips. With his current TP, this is an RR of about 4.4-ish, which changes based on current price and his average trade value. In the end, when the trade closes, the computed true RR would be the profit over drawdown. 0.1 lots will let you move about 20 pips before becoming a 2% for a 1000 account size. So assuming his account size is 1000, he's only down 3.6%. Not bad IMHO. My current account size is about half that so I'm at about 7% down X.X. Sound MM normally says about 2% risk max per trade. But once again, the true MM stats can be computed once he closes all this orders. I hope I got the math right, correct me if I'm mistaken. (sorry, MMs in this case is Money Management).

ABOUT THE FFCAL INDICATOR

Hello TAH. Last Friday the Tah templates hanged my MetaTrader. Reading the source code of the FFCAL indicator I saw this line:

GrabWeb(sUrl, sData);

This was the cause of the hanging. The Forex Factory web portal was out (accessing from Spain) and that line were causing the problem.

Is there an asynchronous method for reaching the news feed?

Nope. Always good to save a template where the FFCal is turned off. If FF is down, as it was, you can quickly substitute templates so avoid that hanging up. In that episode, I actually had to save the FFCal indy.mq4 file to desktop, and delete it from MT4, so it could not function/could not hang up the loading of the templates. When FF went back up, I reinstalled the .mq4 file.

We know what "volume" is. We know the "volume" we see is just that on the broker's server. We know it is just a count of trades, not trade sizes. We know all of that already. And sure, some clients of a broker might have contrarian trading methods. It matters not.....

That was my solution too. First I had to close the wifi connection of my computer, Metatrader started with no problem, and then I took off the FFCal indy. I suspected the cause of the problem because I'm a programmer and things like these happen every day at my job. This is the reason why I always use asynchronous methods. I haven't found any async method in mq4 lang.

Closed my triple zero with loss of 25 pips. Reloading with smaller bullets. I'd like to sit it out, but... like TAH says, gotta be relax. Fortunately, I'm still in the positives for today :-). First pellet just loaded and fired again, back in the game. At least now I'm at the bottom!

Have you found a predefined variable in MQL4, the state of which tells what of the six magnifications the chart is set to? If you do, please let me know.
