Hi TAH, I removed all other "personal" indicators and I do read the notes provided. The PVA candle (white and black) works on EJ and not on UJ/EU, I tried on ONADA platform and its the same situation "no show in EU/UJ". I must say PVASR is a great template and I loving it.

Don't just remove those other indicators and think that will solve the problem. You need to download the template, save it and use it without doing anything to it. Your listing of the chart indicators tells me you have changed the template. Start over.

I see some possible some sign of bottoming in GOLD...
1. Attempt of injecting. But Bear are in control
2. Support of Vol at the low.
3. Nice Bullish Engulfing.

I do not suggest to jump in all you might.. Do not test the depth of water with bith feet.

My view of gold
if it break the neckline, could be a good reverse HS.
but the area 1273-1296 maybe a strong resistance. need pay attention to how the volumes changing in that area.

GOLD

Volume - strong stopping volume last Thursday and Friday. In fact, the volume at the last lows on Friday looks like "loading up longs" volume. The Asian session MMs took the price down and loaded longs.

S&R - Note that the highs today are akin to the highs last Thursday. Price needs to break them.

MMs - My guess would be that if the MMs are bulls, and it looks that way, the London session MMs will lower price to load more longs, building their position even more before punching the price up thru the upper resistance area.

Fibo - Might be worth looking for a price pullback in London session to the 38-50% area (yellow area). The 38% fibo level is just below the 1/4SR. If that, or any pullback is made and culminates in higher volume, then that will be PVSRA indicating the MMs are definately new bulls loading more longs.

Trend - The trend is down (H1) and higher volume than recently has not changed the trend. The MMs might be/become bulls, and yet only for a short ride up to regain higher ground for even greater renewed shorting. Any long trade would be counter trend.

Hi, I´m been with you on the side for a while and just starting to get my feet wet. I´m building short in AJ at the 61.8% fibo retrace level confirmed by increasing volumes at highs on M5 and M1.

Tah
I understand your assumption about retrace
but in other hand you teach us that when MM bear you never know when they will decide to perform it and the best is to build a positions.
isn't it too risky or against your strategy apprauch?

Apologies for the gap between posts.

TAH, is there a reason you trade tightly correlated pairs? What I mean to ask is, EU and AU are the same trade most days. Is this simply for diversification, or is there more to it?

This is how I see it. If they were bulls, they would use the zone 1.298-1.30 to load longs for sure. However, the didn't. In the other hand, the volume is increasing once it crosses the 1.3025 area. I started to rebuild short.

Is price above the dragon and the 89 ema? Then you should be long. Period.

In a short answer, yes. You are right, but PVSRA is a little bit more complex than that imho.

Look at the image and pay attention to the volume increase. For me they are building shorts from the 129.25 area, and they did a few times. Of course, that doesn't mean price can go higher, especially because they normally use early days on the week to hike the price. That's why we trade with small trades, to have enough room to build position.

You called average down, I call it to build position. For me, there is a difference. Let me explain you if you don't mind.

  1. Let's say you trade normally 1lot. And you put a sell order. Price goes up and you add another order and you repeat the process a few times. That's average down
  2. Let's say you trade normally 1 lot and you enter a sell order with 0.1 lots. Price goes up and you repeat this process 10 times. You risked 1 lot, but you have 10 entries. That's building position.

I know sometimes it's difficult to throw away the normal "chains" we have in trading. Fixed SL, "average down" and so on. And this system is an exercise to do it.

Your assessment is absolutely fair. I understand where you are coming from.

But......you are fighting the tape.

I have just realized I am a Sonic purist.

Why not take the same approach and build a postion from the right side of the tape. EJ is in a clear uptrend. What the MM decide to do later is not relevant. What are they doing RIGHT NOW?

Right now they are running the price up. I am officially a Sonicer going forward, but I will be a purist. I would argue that fighting the tape is a bad thing to do. The Sonic templates are quite clear as to which direction you should be building a position. This PVRSA, while commendable, encourages the nasty habit of going countertrend.

While you are building a position against the tape, I have built a position with the tape. 15 cents a pip, that's all. But I have just added my 6th position. This is using the Sonic template, which is why I am respectful of tah. He has said that PVRSA is a work in progress, so I have no ill will with him. I am here to give a counter argument and say that building positions with the classical Sonic method is the way to go. It eliminates averaging down. PVRSA, while interesting, promotes tape fighting. This is a very, very bad thing to do.
