Hi Guys, I am very grateful that there were some live trades posted, it brought the thread to life, RJ's disappointment was in the LACK of live trades...!!!

So out of respect for him and his thread I think live trades should be encouraged...

Any one can post successful trades and leave out the bad ones, This thread will dwinde down to a handful posters chatting and could well fizzle out altogether......PLEASE keep live trades going...

TIP....after taking your trade, simply press the key next to F12 ( possibly marked (PrtSc)...this will save the screen for when you are ready to paste it onto a palette and go from there...only a minute or so....this is handy for other reasons too, ie keeping receipts of bills paid and other online transactions etc.

I have timed this chart to show that it did not distract me from this post and took a minute or so, thanks all

Nothing more than what I said earlier.

Markets very nervous, now we are throwing in weak US GDP data.

What now re Fed tightening, is that off the board, bond yields/equity markets not sure how to interpret this.
So you get a flight to quality

And ECB came out earlier today saying they expected growth to improve though out 2013 ??

Question for you senior members... since using the ADR on the GMTS Dash (and ATR indi) is new to my trading do you find the PA can go much past the 100% level or is it more often a good place to take profits if in a trade? I'm currently short GU and its at DS3 and 100% of the ADR...

I am sure that if you spend few minute searching you can find a lot of info in this thread and also in internet.

You're right Wiz.
From reading the entire thread I recall that new trades are not recommended when the ATR and ADR are towards the higher end of their range. My question was for an open trade exit when those indicators have reached 100% levels have Genesis traders noted that the moves generally end at that point or do good moves overshoot those indicators. I do not recall reading anything regarding that question in the thread (although we have almost 16K posts so I could have forgotten.) I hope I'm not out of line in asking that.

I switched it off.

When the market wants to break out big time, it pays no respect to ATR/ADR or anything else.

Major breakouts are where serious money is.

If you get a genesis signal when outside ATR/ADR then by all means reduce your trade size, but I personally will be in the trade !! IMHO

Pippi,

these indies are based on statistical data. Sometime price touches the level and bounce and sometime break it out; it depends on the market conditions and other confluences ... I think it always a good thing to look at the price action and follow your plan.
