Good Morning All,
Morning in Aus anyway. I have been reading this thread for a while & thought i'd start posting my trades now. I have 2 which went against me 30 pips each. I have my own theory as to why but i'd like to see what more experienced traders think. Both trades were taken at thr start of the last candle shown on the chart. I have included the 1hr and Daily charts as they are how I made my decision. Any comments at all are welcome. Thanks

Hi all I just ran into this Thread and I am only on page four,I downloaded all the indicators but I can't find the #1 best ma tdi.tpl in my folder . does it load up under a different name?

Hi Tenmile, thanks for support, i trade a live account since 1 month, i do not have much experience! Btw this is the only g/u short today, i also scalped out 50 pip
from U/E after FOMC rerelease....i fear this is only luck!!

No indicator would work on the move that was made today. Normally, if I scalp M5 (which is usually only following news), the stochastic can confirm an entry and does not lag as far behind at the TDI.

See how quickly market changed from anti-USD to pro-USD with FOMC.

With the huge FOMC move, there will be divergence technical indcators, so there will be some opportunties in LTF but not 4H trading so soon.

WELCOME!

after you downloaded the tpl. file, make sure you cpoy that to the correct MT4 folder. see pic below.
note there are tow tempelate folders, pay attention to the correct one for chart templates.

WELCOME and Thanks for posting your two trades.

AU trade
I see you follow the major downtrend and also the D bias using the previous D chart.

30 pips intial SL is what I think may not be the correct way to determine the initial SL.
Timing of your trade entry is also someting we must look at closely when we trade intraday. You entry was close to NY open.

On your chart the is ADR data and you see the recent ADR is higher that the longer period one ...148 134 145
One method to determine the initial SL when we trade using the D bias is to check the most recent ADR and take 60% of that and compare with the technical stop using the last swing high or low.

60% of recent ADR can also be use to set the target profit when you use this ADR method. BUT R:R 1:1 is not my style for trade planning. Therefore, I would set TP1 at ADR60% and TP2 as ADR100% since we are in the major trend and following D bias.

Good trade anyway, you got the idea how to trade TMS.

Looking back at EJ yesterday, we had a 4H setup which failed. There a soem lessons from that 4H setup.

anyone see something which I missed?

Hi Emmanuel, nice to talk to you & thanks for the reply. I thought the problem was my stop loss as I wasnt sure how to place it properly with the range. Price did eventually go in my favour but i was stopped out beforehand. This is my inexperience & also I have been reading about letting traded "breathe" I wasnt sure how much add to my SL. So if I am using 60% of ADR that is around 80 pips would this be correct? Thanks for the help I appeciate it. I am getting there slowly.

Are you looking for the ADR indicator that shows T Y 5D 10D etc because I have modified the code , I tried to upload but I don't know why the forum upload mechanism don't show the indicator from my pc, let me know in which way I can send you the indicator

seen the market moved so many pips during Asian Session, I don''t think that will have any clear movement in LO and NY session.

Any thought?

Two trades this morning, both at London Open on the EJ H1 and the AU H1. Both are continuation trades from yesterdays big FOMC moves, entered on a break of the previous candle. Done for the day.

your ADR show AVE 0145 pips, taki g 60% of that is 87 pips from your entry hour.
But if you place you initial SL above the previous D high since you are following the Day Bias to trade, that would be safe.
