I don't understand why anyone anticipated different result considering Feds already stated they will ease of QE a month ego.
Has anything changed? Economically that is? Nothing significant to revise the whole exit strategy.

I'm completely new to Forex, but have learned a lot just the last few days. Sorry if this is off-topic but could someone please explain to me what happened? As far as I know the US dollar went up in value, so people took a short position on the Euro because of the news from this press conference that Ben Bernanke held. So the reason the dollar strengthened was due to positive news from the conference then I'm assuming? Was this decision on going short on the euro entirely based on fundamental analysis?

Many thanks if someone could PM me or let me know.

One bit of advice mate.... Keep your eye on higher timeframe charts. they tell the story

I love it. I merely played a calculated risk, and the market was kind enough to even ket me lessen my risk. 30 pips for a ratio of around 1:5. . But everyone is going to get caught up in the shorts and forget we are trending long... so whatev.

Been looking at that pattern for a while, didn't seem to quite fit Gartley and it had little more to go to be a bat, but I'm not complaining about the defns now.

Most skilled traders were short this pair far before the news came out. I said yesterday that I would be shorting the crap out of this pair at 3400. Most skilled traders don't need to wait for the news.
