Had a Buy Limit on the bottom of the range, 1.33843, s/l 1.33782, tp top of the range, 1.34140, so far never touched.

Also a long from 1.34006, s/l 1.33906, tp 200 pips.

And a short from 1.34074, s/l 1.34174 to maybe 1.32074, we'll see, both orders opened.

news day can wipe out both side sl easily. gl.

Yes, that's why I have these tight s/l. Maybe I have to re-enter. Think I have a very reasonable position size.

unless you see the reactions first, limit orders during news days can be unfavorable approach.

past 2 days been in tight range market. that should be the first clue.

Hi Folks.. seein as thought price is bit bored, thought i'd throw in my two cents so to speak. Price is currently stuck in the 4 hour resistance box with no urgency to push further up, and the FOMC could be the catalyst to help push the EURUSD back down to the 1.32 area before it continues its upwards momentum.

Currently entered short at 1.34074
with a 20 point stop loss.


Now to play the waiting game

* Purple boxes represent 4 hour resistance areas
*Orange boxes represent resistance on the 1 hour time frames

Thoughts?

Playing news events both ways with tight s/l is fruitless, in my opinion. Just look at a typical reaction to nfp or an ecb press conference: zig-zags and finally a direction. After all those with tight s/l have been stopped out...
